> 3 dayThis thing is MAGIC! I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, which is overrun by little fire ants and has been for several years. Previously, if I left my cats food out for more than about 30 minutes, it would be full of little fire ants. No more! With this magic thing, which requires no water, no soap, no batteries -- nothing -- I can leave catfood out for hours on end, no problem. If she spills catfood in an area further away than this tray, the ants will be on that, but not in her food bowl. Magic! I dont know how the thing works, but Im sure as heck grateful that they figured it out. Thank you! Edited to add: (1) You CANNOT let the tray or the food bowl touch any other surface (such as a wall, any furniture, or the back of a chair). The device depends on being flat on the floor or ground with nothing else within touching distance. (2) If the ants in your area are considerably large, this likely wont work for you. The device depends on the fact that the ants are not large enough to overcome the distance between the bottom and top layers of the tray. Thats why it works fantastically against little fire ants, which are the size of the head of a pin. I cannot speak to how it will work for large ants, but I think it is worth trying out because it is so simple: no water, no soap. no batteries, no moat. Its just so easy and simple.

> 3 dayThis is the best find ever to keep away ants. I was tired of moving the food bowl around or rotating schedule. The ants always seem to find a way. Short of having to kill off all the ants in your yard, this product works as advertised. I have been using it for a week and no ants in the food bowl. Its a great time saver. I bought this and another product using water as moat. The water needs refill and the cats can spill food in the water creating a bridge. It was a daily chore just refilling water and cleaning it. This product is worth the money.

> 3 dayIt says magic in the product description and Im inclined to believe it. Where Im from ants are always always a problem. When I got a cat the ants keep getting into her food. With this tray I have yet to have a single problem with ants getting into her food. Once she dropped some food on the side that got swarmed with ants and when I looked inside the layers of the tray I could see the ants frantically running in circles trying to find a way to the top of the tray. It really works, at least with the small ants where I live, you might have different milage with larger carpenter ants.

> 3 dayThey really work. When I first put hem down. I thought thru weren’t working but I noticed that they were working the next day. Kitty was confused but got used to them. I got three and put a dish on each. No ants.

Greater than one weekSo far so good. I live in Hawaii where ants are everywhere, but so far they havent reached the food on this contraption. The only downside is that the smooth top doesnt grip the food bowl well, so pets could slide it off. Easily fixed it with sticky-backed velcro on the bowl and on the feeder. Im pleased!
