I was sceptical, but it works great. It really does keep the ants out of the food. It doesnt come with the food bowl and youll want a bowl with a rubber bottom so it doesnt slide off.

Its so refreshing to find a product that really lives up to its advertising! This one does!!! Im using two in my kitchen where my indoor cat eats and Im using three outside on a platform where the community cats feed. Outside, I do have to keep the outside area clean of debris. I use three under the community cat pan because that pan is much larger. I tried sitting the pan in a larger pan of water, but the ants just floated over to the food. Ive been using the Ant Aways for months through all kinds of weather. The ants cant seem to find the cat food! YES!!!

Living in southeast Florida, insects are a constant. If you are a servant to a four footed roommate, insects are not only a headache but a costly pain in the butt. I had tried everything including putting the food dish into a bowl of water. I have very determined ants. When I saw this, I was skeptical. Confuse the ants? I was desperate sooo IT WORKS. I dont know how it works, but it works. If I could put something like this under my whole house Id be very happy. The area where you place the bowl is slippery. I put a waffle looking jar opener from the $1 store under the food dish - problem solved.
