Apologetic loser, Wesley Gibson - a knowing cuckold and paralyzed victim of workplace bullying - discovers his true destiny is not actually preparing billing reports for a nasty boss. When hes apparently almost killed waiting in line at the drugstore, only to be saved by a gun-slinging-Dodge-driving Angelina Jolie, hes given some interesting news: his estranged father has just died and his own drug-controlled panic attacks are actually evidence of a rare inherited disorder that predisposes him to be the perfect assassin. Hes promptly freed from white-collar servitude and bundled off to a Chicago textile mill where he spends weeks learning the ways of The Force ... wait, no, thats not quite right. Its the Fraternity. But it might as well be the Jedi Order given the number of lines lifted almost verbatim from the original Star Wars trilogy and a character arc thats suspiciously Skywalkerish. Wesleys mission? Kill the assassin who turned to the dark side and betrayed and murdered his father... Wanted is utterly ludicrous, but thankfully knows it. Its winking self-awareness carries you through the bracing opening and a genuinely engaging setup, but it can only take you so far. Wesleys training is absurd, and when Fraternity supremo Morgan Freeman reveals they take their coded kill-orders from a 1000-year-old feral spinning jenny out back of the textile mill, you realize the wheels really did fall off back when Angelina flipped the Dodge. The beefed-up James McAvoy looks like giving Shia LaBeouf some competition for the everyman action hero roles - you never lose the sense that Wesley is someone like you - and Angelina Jolie is, as always, just ludicrously, impossibly hot. But this movie isnt about performances. Its about the kinetics and spectacle of seeing people shot and things blown up - graphically, repeatedly, and from as many angles as possible. On that score it delivers - the car chase and train sequence were particularly impressive. But sadly - and quite surprisingly for a film adapted from the world of the graphic novel, and created by this crew - Wanted doesnt quite have the visual style to catapult it from ludicrous to cool, nor the bedrock of interesting ideas or big themes to make it meaningful. Its less Wachowski brothers and more Jan De Bont. Youll smile, youll wince, youll shake your head in disbelief. But you really wont feel a thing.

The gore is a bit too much for some, but this is one of the greatest action films that I have watched.

I see Angelina Jolie gettin so much press in the tabloids and Im like, Shes not that hot. Then I see her in a movie and Im like, Man, is she ever hot! And shes even hotter in Blu Ray! Unfortunately, Angelinas acting in Wanted doesnt compare to her hotness. In fact, Id take just hearing her voice in

Im not into cars or carnage, but this movie had me glued to my seat. I thought a good time for a bathroom break would be during the breaks of the races, but that is where a lot of the plot unfolds. The best movie Ive seen in forever! We were so excited that my husband, two boys and I all forgot to get ice cream after!!

So, I think my title says enough, but I would like to be a little critic in respect to some things. *So first the movie, it is a great movie full with action (no too real, but cool) and some nice performances. It is not for all audiences since it has too much fiction, if you liked Matrix, you are on the right way. (not comparing of course) *The set, well it comes with some cool thing, first of all the solid package with a bullet in the middle, loved it! The cards and all are not that amazing, and the target where the Blu ray is placed is a little cheap. The best of all is the 3D film cell...just amazing! For this is the whole set worth it, besides the price cant be better. So if you havent seen the film, you like Action and Angelina Jolie, just buy it!

If youre a fan, this is pretty neat. The contents of the discs arent any different from the standard BD set, but its all the trimmings that make this a must-own for fans. The film cel thing is really cool, the packaging is amazingly awesome, and all the cards and inserts are super neat. Its not the best thing in the world, but its probably more than this movie deserved. I like this set a lot. For what I paid, it was worth it, and then some. If you can snag it for $15-$25 youll probably feel the same. It looks great on my shelf.
