> 24 hourI got this from amazon due to 4 plus rating and attractive price But i was dissapointed to recieve a unit with defective audio port . Amazon promptly replaced it. The 2nd unit worked for a month . Then one day i had to switch audio cable and the audio port stopped again . Once again amazon shipped me a replacement. 2 nd replacement unit arrived with a dead audio port . I asked amazon to replace it but they said i need to either return it or work with viewsonic and get a rma replacement. I decided to do an advance rma. This unit also turned out to have a defective audio port. I provided video proof that my speaker and audio cabled worked with my iphone but failed with one of the viewsonic units. And the internal audio speaker was not getting muted when cable was inserted in the back of the unit. Viewsonic continued to maintain i had a defective speaker inspite of sending video proof. They sent me a video of a stock projector working with an ext speaker to prove their point. Ultimately i returned the unit i had from amazon and the rma unit and applied for a refund. I spent a lot of time unpacking , packing and testing 4 units and only one was functional partially . I will not recommend viewsonic

> 24 hourFirst things first, because there is no mention anywhere of 3D support in the specs or product description there are a lot of comments out there stating that the PX701-4K isn’t capable of 3D. This is incorrect. It does in fact support 3D and it looks great! The older versions that were initially shipped did not support 3D. However, since then ViewSonic has made the necessary hardware & firmware upgrades to correct this. Now that the 3D speculation is out of the way let me talk about the projector. It’s a great 4K projector considering the price tag. True, it’s not native 4K but it does produce 3840x2160 pixels when inputting a 4K signal into the projector. The projector does this. by what’s called “Pixel Shifting “. This is done to expand the native 1080p resolution to produce an effective 4K image on the screen. So, basically, you’re still getting 4K resolution without the much higher price tag you would pay for a native 4K projector. When you play 4K content the projector also displays 3840x2160 on it’s display on the screen. Another nice thing is that it supports HDR & HLG. However, it does not support Dolby Vision which is not a dealbreaker for me. The 3200 ANSI lumens produce a nice bright and vivid picture. I also really like the auto keystone feature. I have the projector sitting on a coffee table which is much lower than my screen and I didn’t have to adjust anything. The projector automatically adjusted the image perfectly. The fan is pretty quiet as well and If you have a surround system you won’t hear it at all. I haven’t tried gaming on it yet but if the specs are correct this should be great for gaming too! Overall I’m satisfied with the projector.

> 24 hourI purchased this projector refurbished and I received it in fantastic condition, it looks bran new. The picture quality is fantastic very crisp and clear and it looks way better than my 4k tv.. I haven’t had a chance to bring it outside yet for move night I’m really looking forward to that.. I watched a movie in my living room the first day I got it to test it out , it was in the day time and the room wasn’t dark at all and I could see the movie perfectly without any fading.. This was a great purchase, and I’m really happy with it..

> 24 hourDecided to build a projector screen (PVC board) for our patio area for nighttime movies. Since it is outside, I didnt want to trying to mount a projector and found out about short throw units like this. Screen size is 138 (diagonal), projector is about 7 away, and only 15 off the ground. I built a custom stand to allow quick tilting and levelling adjustments. This unit is awesome! Nice and bright, clear HD picture (Chromecast TV HDMI dongle), zoom/focus/keystone adjustments are simple to do quickly from the top of the unit and were good to go. Very satisfied!

> 24 hourI bought this projector because of the 4k and 4.2ms ultra fast input. When first trying it out the screen was a horrible shape that could be corrected ok-wise with the picture settings but they dont tell you that if you do that, you cannot use the 4.2ms ultra fast input. It will reset the screen settings everytime and if you want to keep the settings then forget the 4.2ms so why even buy the thing? The 240hz is a nice feature to have though. The brightness is pretty good as there is always more than enough and at a point you will bleach out the screen. Contrast is not too bad either but they should be up front about the settings with the 4.2 not being avail unless you like a screen thats pyramid shaped. Their customer service is laughable. When I asked about the 4.2 and also the cost of a new remote since the enter button stopped working, they said 50 usd and not even a mention of the 4.2 or the screen problem before changes. Over all forget this one. Go with higher quality like Epson

> 24 hourWe have this setup at a 200 diagonal screen size on drywall painted light grey/silver, and our primary use is gaming with an Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch. The picture quality is excellent in 4K. 1080p content looks fine, but I am longing for getting all NFL games in 4K. Literally Madden 23 is prettier to look at than the actual NFL broadcast because of my lack of getting the NFL in 4K. Weve watched a couple movies, both 1080p and 4K, and I am happy with this projector in terms of picture quality, brightness, and no lag for gaming.

> 24 hourI had had a 1024P 3D projector before. Over time, the fan burnt out. Being 1024P, I didnt want to pay to replace it, didnt want another 1024P, and didnt want to spend what 4K projectors cost. This solved all of those issues. It is a quality product and I am happy I purchased it. After using it for 4 to 5 months, I have zero complaints.

> 24 hourIve had a Viewsonic PJD5555W (WXGA, 1280x800) for quite a few years and have been waiting for a Viewsonic 1080P projector to come down in price. The PJD5555W has been flawless for almost 6 years and when I saw this one that had the same throw ratio and looked identical as far as connections on the reverse, I ordered it. Its only been a week but so far, so good. Furthermore, it appears to have some functions that the older Viewsonic does not to optimize the image and the brightness is slightly better. Will it last another 6 years? I dont know ... I may not last another 6 years, but so far so good. Very happy with this one.

> 24 hourOnly objection I have is there limited source input options unlike other projectors. I dont use it for games, but I guess that is what this model is made for. I dont have anything to play on it over 60 refresh rate so I cant tell the advantage of the 240 rate. IDK if it does 3D, based on the menu options looks like not.
