Taco 400-4 1/8-Inch-NPT Float Air Hy-Vent

Used Taco products before and are first quality. Valve was delivered with bent bleeder tab but that was from handling and delivery. Repaired it myself and all good. Needs to be shipped in a box and not a plastic bag AMAZON!

Installed easy and works as it is supposed to.

Ive tried Watts, coin vents, some other generic type, but this one has been the best. The knob on top feels functional, like a small turn does make a difference. On air vents like Watts, theres a lot of play in the knob and you dont get a good feel of how open it is. Also, with Watts Ive had water leaking out, and have never had that with Taco. I cant see myself buying any other vents than these. I took a star off because it was packaged horribly and arrived pretty crushed. My understanding is that the inner components, although not fragile, shouldnt be carelessly abused. There was no care in packaging at all. The Taco packaging was placed in an envelope when it absolutely needs a box for protection.

Very high quality. Easy to install. Huge difference comparing to the old fashion air vents. My appliance is very low pressure (12 psi - water-based home heating system), and air vents often do not work, but this one does the job perfectly.

I installed the vent in a low pressure in-floor heating system that has never been without air problems, including leaky vents.. This vent was perfect from the beginning and has been over the winter. When releasing the small air bubble, there is never a water leak. Excellent value for the money.
