> 3 dayVery high quality, heavy duty boiler vent. Simple install and performed much, much better than others I have tried in the past. There was a short period of air expelled quickly and then within 10 minutes all the sputtering stopped and all the air was expelled from the system. It seems that the other valve-type boiler vents would only last a couple of months before clogging and leaking again. This vent works under a somewhat different principle, using a float inside a closed chamber. I suspect this should last through this season and from my research it should also last for quite a few years. Keeping my fingers crossed.

> 3 dayFrom the time I installed this on a water softener system it constantly sticks. If I forget to go into the pump room and tap it every few days I get air in the water lines. It works fine once I tap on it but it doesnt want to open on its own. Its almost the exact same design as the one it replaced, and the old one never had a problem until the plastic parts just got brittle from age and broke. I suspect most designs are similar but Im trying another brand.

> 3 dayI have really bad water (chlorine), and I go through a lot of these. They plug up and/or fail quickly, and Ive had faulty ones right out of the box. I recommend the Watts FV-4M1. The Watts work better and last much longer, theyre just hard to find and cost a few bucks more.

> 3 dayI liked the product fine. It is heavily built and performs the job .I cant know about unit function until heating season but, for now it is perfect.

> 3 dayIt fit as expected and worked perfectly as part of my preventive maintenance. I could hear the air coming out of the vent after the boiler was filled with water.

> 3 dayHand tight for everything. Tighten the top cap, then back off quarter turn...BING yourfinish. Try running your circulation pump on highest setting for 15 to 30 minutes. You will hear the air coming out of the system.
