Great Noise canceling and great audio quality for Wireless Headphones needs some adjustments in the EQ to get perfect listening experience and the App that goes with it also does so much and gives you access to so much But the box was damaged that it arrived in the amazon box and the Product box looked like someone played soccer or something with it and also there as a greasy substances in the box tried contacting supplier but no replay there is no damage to the headset that I can see But this would not of been a problem if I was not in SA does is not me saying stop shipping to SA I do appreciate you guys for shipping to SA

The sound quality on these is really good, but not exactly up to par with some other comparably priced headphones. The difference really is very small though. The noise canceling and its associated features more than make up for that. If noise canceling is an important feature for you then these are the headphones to get. My favorite thing about these overall is just how comfortable they are. They fit all the way over my ear, which some other brands do not and end up being partially ON ear, which is annoying. The clamping force is fairly light, and the ear cups are breathable enough not to get too hot or sweaty while wearing them. Bottom line - I really love mine.

The headphones are simply amazing from sound, comfort and amazing ANC. I take a public bus I barley hear anyone around me (Vacation for my ears). These headphones are amazing the build quality of the headphones feels a little cheap That’s my only knock against them. They are super lightweight And the vegan leather feels super soft. The carry case in his self-is kind of cool it looks sorta like an origami piece. I would recommend these headphones to anyone that needs a vacation for there ears.

Well, it lived up to the hype. The sound quality was superb for my listening requirements. The noise cancelling is the best Ive experienced in any Earphones Ive ever had. Its perfect for flights and removing ambient noise to enhance your listening experience. Im rarely surprised by tech doing what it says it will do without some caveat. Id highly recommend these.

Easily the best headphones I have ever owned. Pros: Best sound for the price Nice EQ settings (could be more advanced though) Clean & Modern Design Top tier ANC (Noice Cancellation) (better than Airpod Max) Cons: Not as portable as XM4s Not quite as padded as XM4, but still very comfortable to me (this is subjective) Pass through is not quite as good as Airpod Max (but remember ANC is better on XM5s)

You can not go wrong with either one of these. I really wanted these to be better than the AirPods Max, but theyre not. I own both AirPods Max and the older Sony 1000XM3s and both of these headsets have their strengths. I was hoping that with all the hype the 1000XM5s would be substantially better than the AirPods Max. The biggest complaint is that when touching the ear cup on the Sonys you can easily hear it, the same action on the AirPod Max is minimal. Both headsets have excellent audio, with the Max edging out the XM5s. Controls -XM5 wins Comfort - I prefer the Max but it is more an individual choice. Case - XM5 Ease of use - Max Noise Cancelling - Tie

Felt pretty happy with the 1000XM3 until I got the XM5. Clarity and dynamics are vastly improved. Bass pressure is incomparably better without being boomy. And comfort is better than the XM3, no more discomfort after long flights. A brilliant pair of headphones.

I had the XM3 and thought now would finally be a good time to upgrade. And the XM5s were only slightly better. I EQ my headphones, so after that, they both sounded good to me, so not a significant enough difference there. XM5s were marginally more comfortable, but not enough to make a difference to me either. The couple things that were much better was its ability to auto pause when removing the headphones connect to 2 devices at once (XM3 doesnt have that), the ambient sound mode was so much better, and the headphones overall responsiveness to touch/button controls was much faster. As for noise cancelling, Im convinced that there is variation in noise cancellation strength between each individual pair of WH-1000XM5 headphones. Ive watched videos of sound engineers doing noise-cancelling samples and graphically showing the XM5s beating out other headphones, including the XM3. So I know that objectively, the XM5s should have better noise cancelling than most competitors, especially the old XM3s. But Ive compared them both on a plane, in a room filled with talking people, and outside when a bunch of cicadas were droning. The 2 are either on par or the XM3s slightly edge out the XM5s. Again, its soooo close, but I expected new model to be leaps beyond the model 2 generations ago. But because I know the XM5s have to be better, the only conclusion I can draw is that there is random variation in ANC strength between individual headphones. Im giving 3 stars for now and will be returning my pair, but I like the headphones enough to give them another chance, maybe when they go on sale or something. Ill update my review then.

    Greater than one week

Not as intuitively easy to use as Bose. Couldn’t really discern much “noise canceling “ functionality

I’ve owned the M3 version since 2019. I’ve absolutely loved them, especially for travel. I have used them for 3 years+ and easily justified buying The updated version this year. WOW. I’ve had them not even 20 minutes and the sound quality/noise cancellation has improved drastically. AND the case collapsing will come in handy when I throw them into my carry on backpack! I love music/speakers/headphones and I promise you these are worth the cost!!
