> 3 dayI loved these headphones, and they are very nice in every way. Great sound quality for being Bluetooth. The side touch panel was quite annoying, as I would go to turn up the volume right before the chorus of the song just to be met with my song skipping to the next song. Because when you wear the headphones they sit on an angle on your ear so that they fit the shape of your ear. So often when I try to swipe up to turn up the sound I instead input the command to skip the song forward or backward. Dont know how this happens so easily. THE PROBLEM: I do not know if I have a faulty pair but in the past week of me having them (purchased 24 days ago) I have noticed twice now that I will be listening to music then suddenly I will be met with a jarring sound (nearly a screech) for around 4-6 seconds before my headphones suddenly stop my music and disconnect from my phone. The first time this happened it was as I was taking my headphones off, I put them back on to hear the continuing screeching then the headphones turned off without me pressing the power button. The second time this happened was when I was just listening to music, my hand never even reached for the headphones when suddenly the screech came up and shut off my headphones. I have no idea what is causing this, both times my headphones were sufficiently charged. I would be willing to send these in if it meant I got a full refund. I would totally recommend these to anyone, but then this happened to my 400-dollar headphones... now I am questioning the quality of this product and whether or not this model is prone to bugs in their system. Trying to get a refund now...

Greater than one weekI really like the headphones but the band is a bit big (trust me my heads not small) so anytime I’m doing a work out on my back or stomach down they fall off and it get annoying. In addition to this any work outs that your arms go above your head will trigger the touch feature and skip your tracks

> 3 dayTheyre too bulky. The case is huge, and the headphones dont fold in, so they take up lots of room. I liked these headphones a lot, but within the first month of use the right ear started playing little crackly sounds that were louder than the music. Very annoying. The SONY app and bluetooth do not connect as easily as my airpods, which I also found annoying. Seamless pairing is important for me, and these do not match up. The apps interface is outdated and difficult to navigate as well. Im disappointed, because I wanted to like these because theyre better than AirPod Maxes. Ordering Beats instead.

> 3 dayFinally I can get the base boost required for modern metal on iOS (as all iOS users know, iOS is in dire need of a full featured, globally functional Equalizer app). Extreme Bluetooth range and interference reduction. These headphones are great, aside from two big problems that could be fixed with a software update: 1) Sony needs reduce the Bass Boost low-pass filter internal setting down to 80Hz or let us adjust it manually as it’s current hardcoded setting is so high that it really trashes the sound quality of the music. ‘Also needs more equalizer bars and advanced feature to compensate for iOS’s lack thereof. 2) Option for Manual Noise Canceling setting; the automatic works great in most situations, but around work machines we need an Extreme setting.

> 3 dayI think often times big time techies and Android users/Apple haters write stellar reviews for this product. I have extensive experience with audio technology and have used other products, both popular and lesser known. These are fine! The NC technology is actually superior in the AirPods Pro 2 for a fraction of the cost. Also, something about a $400 product feeling so CHEAP is driving me insane lol. They are very comfortable for over the head headphones.

> 3 dayI travel often, and Sonys headphones are great for dealing with airports and airplanes. The XM5s did a near-perfect job silencing crying children on my latest flight, and the kids were inaudible once music was playing. I do wish it had its own Tile-like finder, and (not possible, but one can dream) positional audio for Apple Music and similar.

> 3 dayIve really enjoyed these headphones and find it difficult to take them off. I was stuck on either getting the XM4s or these and ended up with these as they were basically the same price with the Prime Deal. The appearance of the XM5s ultimately made me decide to get these rather than the XM4s, but there is one important drawback I got from these: I cant wear these around my neck comfortably. They fold outward for no listed reason, so Id have the ear cups rest on my collarbone. The way around this in which I found it the most comfortable would be wearing them above my ear, which is kind of obnoxious in my eyes, but it was the most comfortable position if I didnt want them on my ears. They are super comfortable and I find myself about to fall asleep with them on. Doing activities such as school work with the active noise cancelling helped me get so much work done with little to no distractions. Using them at the gym hasnt really been a hassle, as Id wear a hoodie to protect them from sweat. The music quality is superb and I havent noticed any distortion from higher levels of music. The things that would really drift me away, especially at this hefty price point would be: The lack of any water resistance on the headphones The ear cups not being able to rotate inwards or fold into themselves Touch pad gestures should be able to be customized But other than the features listed above, they may cater towards you, but the XM4s are generally similar if not better than the XM5s.

> 3 dayI like the feel, comfort, and sound coming from the XM5, but bluetooth can be spotty if you have multiple devices paired to this. I have my Mac, MacBook, iPhone, TV, and Windows PC all paired (not connected). Bluetooth works fine if I disable (or forget) 3 of the 5 devices, otherwise itll get interference.

> 3 dayThese are sick. There’s even a app you can customize your settings and how you want specific settings for when your up and active, when someone speaks to you, or if you just sitting down studying. The volume controls are swiping either up or down vertically. To skip songs, it’s horizontal left. They are very comfortable, HOWEVER after certain times after long wear, give or take 5-6 hours they can get a little uncomfortable but I think that’s inevitable. However as a broke college student, these allow me to stay focus while also communicating with my peers. Trust me, they are worth the money.
