Really good headphones! The only thing I would note is that it is not made for working out. The fit is not tight so if you workout and tend to do a lot of movement, this is not for you. Its also not water proof or water resistant so be careful with sweat as well. Other than that the noise cancelling and the easy access control are all nice

i loved the previous editions of these headphones, and would have kept using them but they were dropped on accident and were no longer functional. i then bought the newest version thinking they’d be even better. (was disappointed :( ) these headphones shut off randomly when using them, the app has been wildly problematic, settings are constantly reset, the battery doesn’t last as long. really disappointed as i would wear and use the others every single day and have no issues. would not recommend these headphones.

Im not sure if the issues is that my unit is just faulty or if its a common trend of this exact product. After spending about $400 on a headset, you will think it should be good right out the box but its not. I have had better experiences with headset 1/3 of the price. 1. My unit goes in and out of ANC (active noise canceling) without touching the audio source, in this case my phone, laptop or other devices. It also does this on calls without the ANC being on, it turns it self on. 2. I had to turn off all gestures or control because the headphones kept stopping my music or video every few minutes when in use. 3. The sound, mic and ANC when it works are okay but I dont think these are worth all the issues that comes right out the box with the headset. Im not sure if this headphones have an update that will fix these issues but my experience has been absolutely horrible given I spent so much money on the product. I will try to update it and see if that changes anything but I dont think so. Save your money or buy a different brand, because Im fairly certain that other headset manufacturers are making something better.

My gym buddies love the xm4 so I bought these when on sale. We compared them and I am shocked to say quality has gone down. Also the xm4 are way comfier

I am so impressed and satisfied with this product. They have excellent noise cancellation, great sound quality and they are super light. The app is very useful and easy to use. As a plus, they have oval pads which makes them super comfortable even with multiple piercings and kinda large, I’ve worn them 6 hours straight with no issues. Totally recommend.

I bought these headphones and completely fell in love with them… only until I realized how incompatible they were if you weren’t a android user—so much so, I ended up returning them because of my frustration and fatigue with its interface. If you use Apple products like I do, the headphones features like “360 audio” (which was a huge selling point for me) only works when you download an app for the headphones, and then again only works with certain apps and websites, not all audio like Apple Music or Spotify. I found this to be a huge let down and was even more annoyed I needed these myriad of apps to utilize a huge selling feature of the headphones. Besides the compatibly issue the headphones were amazing: great design, amazing audio, and great battery life yet, ultimately for me it’s overly complicated ways and hoops to jump through as an Apple user is what steered me away here. I instead bought the Apple AirPods Max, equally great sound quality, superior design, and elite performance, plus they are insanely and easily comparable with every thing Apple which was a huge selling point for me. Plus, their “spatial audio” (the same thing as “360 degree audio”) actually works seamlessly, which numerous apps, without jumping through hoops. (Also random tidbit—the Sony headphones get extremely hot and sweaty after you wear them for too long. Apples do not, insanely comfortable and breathable for hours on end).

Huge improvement in the durability of the headband, but its at the expense of a reliable tight fit. Still I love these headphones and would bite them again and again.

I used AirPods for so long and while I still use mine occasionally for this or that, I wouldn’t give up these headphones for anything. We’re these a necessity..no. But has my life gotten better since getting them? Yes! The noise cancellation is amazing and the sound quality is great! And in the app you can customize the audio to your liking and your surroundings. They are expensive, but how can they not be. They are great. If your looking to treat yourself, this is a good option.

Next gen headphones? More like gen1 headphones. Headphones are really uncomfortable if put on more than an hour. Not good if you are using it for laptop. Headphones app by sony is really poor and non user friendly. Noise cancellation is poor, doesnt work if you are moving. Not waterproof. Unfoldable. Sony has downgraded from xm4. The only 2 good things in this headphones are fast charging and sound quality. Dont buy if you are looking for noise cancellation, comfortablity or upgrade from xm4.
