It’s overall good but needs to be at really high speeds to work

No complaints. This little thing works perfectly on mahogany, but probably requires a drill press, which is what we used.

Hard to control, not precise.

Although I am using it only in soft wood, this plug cutter quickly and easily cuts plugs. If used on wood of sufficient thickness, it will bevel one end of the plug, which makes for easier insertion in the hole. Note that it is properly used only in a drill press.

This tool arrived promptly, and in good condition. It does an excellent job at what it was intended to do.

The plug is exactly the correct size. I have found that I need to cut the plug quickly to help the cutter not to burn the wood (walnut at the moment).
