> 3 daySo, Im a Samsung guy at heart. All of my systems are full of Samsung Pro/EvoPlus drives. Youll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands. I bought the 1TB P31 gold on a whim. Didnt have a place to put it, was just going to test it in my desktop system. Bought a Lenovo X1 Yoga over the weekend, and decided to upgrade the crappy WD SN730 512GB drive inside to the P31. This is an amazing drive. Fast, and low power. Completely exceeded any of my expectations. I will be buying more of these.

> 3 dayEasy to install.. I would recommend removing the sticker to allow the heat to dissipate evenly. Otherwise, I’m a happy camper.

01-11-2024This drive performs as expected but where it really shines is with power efficiency. If you go read the review for this drive on Anandtech, you will see that the power efficiency is unheard of. It far surpasses any other NVMe drive available and in many cases, is more efficient than SATA drives, all while having the performance of a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD. If you are shopping for a laptop drive, this is the one to get. Look no further as this will preserve battery life better than any other drive while still delivering top tier performance. It is a little more than other drives on the market, but its worth it. It also has a 5 year warranty, which is the same as other premium SSDs like the Samsung offerings.

> 3 dayBought as a secondary data drive for my ASUS TUF 17 laptop. Installation was a breeze. After initial boot up, the BIOS recognized and auto configured the drive. A quick visit with Windows 10s Disk Management tool to enable it as a logical drive was all that was needed to get it up and running. Performance was on par with the SK Hynix boot drive that came with the system.

> 3 dayPut this 2TB SK hynix M.2 NVM3 SSD into a external Orico SSD clear enclosure. Used Win10 disk manager to format with exFat. Using a budget Dere/Daysky V14S notebook and a powered USB 3.0 hub, I plugged this into a adjacent port with a Adata SE900G. Copied a 32GB video file from the Adata to the SK hynix. One word: Fast! Much, much faster than a with a cheap generic external SSD I tried before that would take 55 minutes and could only achieve 20MB/s write speed. But I was able to write the same 32GB file to this SK hynix in only 1.5 minutes at 308MB/s! Amazing! Highly recommended, thats for sure. But must use a powered hub when configured externally in a USB enclosure for max performance.
