I have to admit, at first I was very disappointed. It had been plugged in for a couple of minutes and no matter how many times I pumped the handle, nothing. Mop pad was not only dry, but it was cool to the touch. I re read the instructions and couldnt come up with any steps I had missed or anything I had done wrong. I took off the water tank and reinsert it at least 15 times. I thought it was a frustrating end to a very frustrating day. Then, for some reason, even though I had heard both ends of the pole click, I just pushed down really, really hard! Suddenly, instead of silence, I heard the sounds of steam! It took over 45 minutes, but I had a working steam mop! The first place I used it was on my bathroom floor. I use hairspray and I had that coating of hairspray on my floor. Months of buildup gone in a VERY short while! I love how it got rid of the dirty strip by the baseboard that I normally have to take a toothbrush to get it clean! It even sanitizes and cleans at the base of the toilet that gets nasty! Then, I moved to the kitchen! Dried, stuck on stuff on the floor came right up! I am in love!!! It is a new workhorse in my cleaning arsenal!

After reading the positive reviews, I purchased the Shark S1000 Steam Mop. With several pets, I needed something that was easy to use and efficient! This mop has surpassed my expectations. Also, it was super easy to assemble. So far, Im extremely happy with my purchase.

I purchased this steamer 1 year ago & it definitely deserves a review. Firstly, make sure that you use distilled water in this & all appliances. It is lightweight & maneuverable. I had a reverse shoulder replacement so this is a dream appliance. My condo is 1300 sq ft & the cord is adequate for a large room. I have to use a couple of outlets when Im doing the whole house but, no big deal. If you need a longer cord get an extension. This is a residential steamer that does a perfect job. Plus, buying additional pads is easy & inexpensive. My floors are kept clean with a daily swiffer. Every few days I use the steamer for the deep clean & sparkling shine. Great product. 10☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

So far this steam mop has exceeded my expectations! My last steam mop-which was incredibly similar to this model (older generation), lasted 7 years! I’m hard on my cleaning products and clean several times a week (no I’m not nuts, I have kids), so that should give you an idea of how durable their products are! This version has a swivel like head, which is great for tight spaces or awkward ones (like the small space between my counter and toilet). The tank lasts me longer too! I usually have to refill after I mop my small kitchen, but with this version I had over half a tank left AFTER I did the kitchen and bathroom! The cord is longer too which makes life easier. Lastly, it comes with 2 pads! Which are not cheap-they go for 19.99 for one at Walmart! So far 10/10! Well worth the try!

This is so great - I’ve been using it on all of hard surfaces (including sealed hardwood) this week. It’s amazing! You’re gonna be so grossed out by how dirty the pads look after you clean lol. I suggest buying extra pads! They hold up really well in the wash though.

Its light weight and easy to use. Water tank is small so have to refill multiple times. The grip pad does not attach properly and has some additional pad thats leaving scraches to the walls.

I went against some of the negative reviews because, lets face it, you cant please everyone. Let me first start with those negatives. Having had a previous version of the shark steam mop, yes the cord is a bit shorter. So move it to another outlet. Problem solved. You have to pump it. Well, it is not a vacuum cleaner that you just run across the floor. Youre not really pumping it when you push it. It pumps so smoothly, it is barely any work. Those were the only negatives I saw that I remember and now that I have turned those positive, lets move on to other great things about this mop. The pads are great. They are thick and way better than the previous version. It is not loud at all. My last mop sounded like I was trying fish. The reservoir comes out. My previous shark you had to pour into the reservoir and it didnt come out. This is great. The reservoir is way bigger too. It mopped smooth and even and was just great for the price. I think it should cost more. I love steam mops and I literally blew up my last one. My floors get super dirty. I have all boys in my house. Its quick, simple, takes less time, and doesnt make your arm sore. I absolutely love this!!!! I cant say enough. I probably forgot something, but I hope others will look past the negative people who can never be pleased anyway and see just how enjoyable it is to keep floor surfaces clean. Satisfying while using and satisfying after, looking at a freshly mopped floor.
