I like that this stands on its own and is light weight. I have another that is similar, but this one makes my job easier. It’s a great value. It really gets the dirt and grime off your floors.

I have to admit, at first I was very disappointed. It had been plugged in for a couple of minutes and no matter how many times I pumped the handle, nothing. Mop pad was not only dry, but it was cool to the touch. I re read the instructions and couldnt come up with any steps I had missed or anything I had done wrong. I took off the water tank and reinsert it at least 15 times. I thought it was a frustrating end to a very frustrating day. Then, for some reason, even though I had heard both ends of the pole click, I just pushed down really, really hard! Suddenly, instead of silence, I heard the sounds of steam! It took over 45 minutes, but I had a working steam mop! The first place I used it was on my bathroom floor. I use hairspray and I had that coating of hairspray on my floor. Months of buildup gone in a VERY short while! I love how it got rid of the dirty strip by the baseboard that I normally have to take a toothbrush to get it clean! It even sanitizes and cleans at the base of the toilet that gets nasty! Then, I moved to the kitchen! Dried, stuck on stuff on the floor came right up! I am in love!!! It is a new workhorse in my cleaning arsenal!

I almost had to send this back. Had it put together in 2 minutes, very easy. Filled the water chamber, plugged it in, the little light came on and nothing.... I re read the instructions, I re positioned the water chamber, and then, I got so frustrated I slammed it on the floor and guess what?? It started working! Not sure what that was all about, but once it started working, I never had another problem. So thats why 4 not 5 stars. It did a great job cleaning my very dirty floors. I have 3 dogs who slobber and this works great on cleaning up their mess!

Shark makes a great product, there’s no denying that. My first impressions of the steam mop are as follows: 1. I read reviews that said the cord length is not long enough, to me is was perfect. In my 1000 sq ft house I had no gripes about having to unplug and replug in a different room. Isn’t that what we all do anyway with our vaccums? 2. The water reservoir is much smaller than I expected 3. The pads dirty up very quickly but are machine washable. I wouldn’t buy extra pads, it comes with two which is sufficient to do two bathrooms and a kitchen, then wash and use in your other rooms. Overall, I like it and I believe it’s worth the $50. I tested it out first on my smaller bathroom. Mind you, the tile is a bit of a dingy color to begin with (brown/beige) but it did really shine them up and you could tell right away it was working. I will use it on the other bathroom and my kitchen next which all have that same tile. The rest of my house is white/gray laminate flooring. After much research I’ve decided to try a quick once over on the laminate (being very careful) and since it’s lighter in color, I hope to see some clearer results.

I purchased this steamer 1 year ago & it definitely deserves a review. Firstly, make sure that you use distilled water in this & all appliances. It is lightweight & maneuverable. I had a reverse shoulder replacement so this is a dream appliance. My condo is 1300 sq ft & the cord is adequate for a large room. I have to use a couple of outlets when Im doing the whole house but, no big deal. If you need a longer cord get an extension. This is a residential steamer that does a perfect job. Plus, buying additional pads is easy & inexpensive. My floors are kept clean with a daily swiffer. Every few days I use the steamer for the deep clean & sparkling shine. Great product. 10☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

The only real negative is something I finally figured out. I filled the tank with very hat water, mistake. Guessing there is a thermostat that activates with room temperature or cooler water. The directions did not specify, so made an incorrect assumption. It simply would not start steaming or dispensing any moisture. Think all that being said, a good product based on price.

The older model was more efficient in that it heat up much faster and stayed hot. This one has larger tank and longer cord which is preferred. My handle snapped on the older model is all.
