Sennheiser headphones have always performed! Near studio sound across models, but the HD 25s are superb! Not overdone bass like Beats, highs dont fall apart like Sony. The fit is snug on my big head. But, it does a great job filtering out room noise. Noise reduction is passive (non-electronic) which is a good thing! Active electronic noise filtering (Bose, Sony) affects sound quality. These headphones prove it once again. If you are looking for serious sound, pick up a pair of these!

These, sound wise, are on par with the Momentum 2s or the HD599s or the AKG K451s. If youre familiar with those and like the sound signature, youll get more of the same with the HD25s. I found the clamping a bit much out of the box but gently stretching the headband reduces the clamping. I like the adjustable split headband. I like that nearly every part is replaceable. Im not wild about the stock ear pads and plan to replace those soon with something plusher. That said, I wouldnt hesitate to buy this model again and certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great portable sound. Ive played it through my headphone amp, my receiver, my television, and my telephone. It performs well on all. This model really excels with flacs, compact discs, or hi rez streaming. The sound is energetic yet balanced and easily heard in loud environments like public transport or airplanes. The soundstage is virtually non-existent but I barely noticed because the sound is so wonderfully tuned. The HD 25 handles all genres well. Ive been able to wear these headphones for a few hours at a time. YMMV.

I like to use headphones for hours at a time. These are not the ones for that... unless your okay with some TMJ. My jaw and ears became sore after a few long hours mixing songs. These are great for walking around town and bumping tunes. I love the sound of em and they do look cool. The stabilizing additional headpiece allows you to headband all you want. Sennheiser makes lots of great cans so I picked up another more comfortable model for mixing.

I was super in-between buying these or the ATH-M50X as a pair of headphones for some entry-level mixing. Im really happy that I decided to buy these ones as they work perfect for what Im looking for. Theyre super lightweight and they dont really squeeze your head very much - so lots of points for comfort! I also really enjoy the sound quality of these headphones. As someone who doesnt have a lot of experience with over-ear headphones, I think this was a great purchase as my first pair. They have great mids/lows and in my opinion the perfect amount of bass. This makes for really good listening for any edm tracks which is what I primarily mix. Although these headphones arent specifically noise cancellation, they do also isolate sound very well. Im taking one star off for these headphones because Im a little unimpressed by their quality. If I hadnt done any kind of research and looked at these in a store, I would have not been impressed. They feel a little cheap in my opinion for being $150 and the padding around the ears/top of the head is very plasticy. Despite this, I would still buy these headphones because Im really impressed with their sound quality, comfort, and their sound isolation.

Theres a good reason these have been a standard for DJs over the last 25+ years. Comfortable, light weight and sound great.

These headphones sound very good and can get LOUD. I took a chance on these as Ive seen many DJs and producers use them. As a DJ myself, Ive used many different headphones from all different price points. Although I love how these sound, the build quality is awful. All cheap plastic construction and faux leather on the earcups and headband that rips/wears very easy. Ill stick with my Audio Technica ATH-M60x headphones. MUCH better build quality and just slightly flatter sound. The HD 25s have slightly boosted low frequencies. Overall these are overrated. Ive been told the older models were better quality.

Well, I was hoping for the yellow anniversary edition as depicted in photo but that wouldn’t make it sound any better. Excellent deal for $100. A bit heavy on the bass for me personally but I use my device’s equalizer and chose the “reduce bass” setting. Open back so pick a quiet environment to listen in. Recommended.

These headphones are really nice. The sound quality and the noise cancellation is really nice. I also like the capability of being able to fold one of the ears off to the side, i works well when mixing music. My only complaint is that the headphones themselves are a bit small for my big ears. They put alot of pressure on them and after not even 30 minutes, my ears start to hurt. Sad since I paid a pretty penny for them, but that was my own fault for not looking into it more.

Nice headphones to be sure - but I take issue with calling them DJ headphones. They dont have the swivel ear and are kind of small/unwieldy (if that combination makes sense) for mixing. The build and sound quality is great, so I definitely recommend them in general, I would just go with something else for actual DJing.

I’m really disappointed with these. I bought a pair about 10 years ago and the sound is way better. The reason I bought these was an issue with one of the wires on my old ones. The sound is really just ok not worth the price for me. Then top it off the left side is lower in sound. Really not happy here.
