First the pros: very nice picture quality, I love the refresh rate!(165hz), Adjustable stand!, very bright screen, sleek design, low price Cons: unreliable at times, I had it running for hours the first day I had received it (early btw) but the next time i turned it on it said “no signal” to every device i plugged in( yes i tried different cables). The next day i came back and it suddenly decided to start working. It has been working since then. Overall, I would recommend this but I would also recommend getting the extended warranty with it! update 3/2/21: turns out that this monitor now has a faulty display-port port. When I plug it in via HDMI it works fine, but it will show discolored dots on the screen when using display-port. I have decided to just use HDMI for now, but the fact that I cant get that extra 21 hz advertised is annoying (running it at 144 instead of 165).

I was looking for a monitor, and my friend recommended me this one. The monitor stand may look a bit weak, but it does the job well. The monitor I received has one dead pixel but its negligible. The speakers are awful, but you shouldnt be using them anyways (please just use headphones). It can tilt a few degrees up and down, but you cant adjust the height or rotate it, which is a bit of a shame. Overall, its a good monitor, especially for its price (I bought it for 180). If you want an alternative, Id recommend the AOC 24G2.

I liked the monitor for what I used it for which was gaming and multitasking, but you definitely get what you pay for. Im by no means a monitor snob as this was pretty much the 2nd monitor Ive bought and this one was supposed to be much better than my other monitor (My other monitor is the 24 75hz acer which has way better colors, I just wanted to upgrade refresh rate). The colors on this monitor are pretty terrible no matter how much you mess with the settings. I was able to put up with that, though. I am going on my 3rd month with this monitor and the display port stopped working so I am going to return the monitor. Sceptre customer support was terrible. They dont answer the phone. Amazon didnt really help much either besides returning. tldr: Monitor is pretty good for gaming, the colors suck, customer support sucks, and my display port broke after 3 months

Ive been using this for a few days now, overall its a great product (especially on sale at $120). Im glad I took the chance on a brand Ive never heard of. Rumor has it that this monitor is using the same panel as some $200 monitor sold by ASUS, which is what really sold me on trying an unknown brand. This is replacing an older 60Hz TN monitor for me, and Ive only used TN panels (Its been a long time since I bought a monitor). So maybe take this with a grain of salt. Ive also been using the monitor defaults for testing it out. Pros: No frills or gimmicks. Just a monitor that displays an image. On the back every video input is clearly labeled like in the image, and says exactly what version of HDMI each port supports. Instead of guessing, or looking up the manual. Bezel is almost non-existent. Stand is made out of metal, just a nice touch. Color quality is excellent out of the box, I havent even bothered calibrating colors yet. Blacks are actually black. Whites are blinding, but white. Blue really pops, Red and Green seem good but dont pop as much as blue. The color quality between the TN panels and IPS is night and day better. General image quality is crisp and clear. Text looks crisp, Im noticing minor details in shadows from movies and games I couldnt see before. The DPI on this monitor seems much higher than my previous TN. Or its just the difference between how TN and IPS pixels are made? Image quality in motion is excellent. By default the Overdrive setting is set to Medium and it has some very minor ghosting visible in the Blur Busters test, but I havent noticed any ghosting at all while playing any games, even FPS games. I have no idea what the response time is when overdrive is set to medium, but it seems low enough to not think about. I actually forgot I hadnt changed it until typing this. 165Hz over Display Port is a nice bonus. Adaptive Sync works as expected, even on an Intel GPU. On Intel Arc the Variable Refresh Rate Range supports 48Hz - 165Hz. Though IIRC FreeSync is supposed to support as low as 30Hz. This may just be an Intel support issue. Cons: The monitor is scary thin. The top half of the monitor is basically just a plastic cover for the back of the panel. There is no structure holding the top half of the panel. Im worried Im going to bend the panel when adjusting the tilt. On one hand its really impressive how thin this monitor is, on the other hand it just feels very fragile. Bending your screen while adjusting the tilt would have to be the most stupid way of breaking your monitor of all time. If it falls over somehow, its 100% going to damage the panel. Theres just no structure protecting the panel IMO. Perhaps on the next version Sceptre should add a little structural rigidity for peace of mind. Stand is comically short. Though it is quite wide so it isnt tipping over easily. PS Shout out to the seller, who shipped immediately. The package arrived like 5 days early. I had to sign for it, so FedEx didnt just leave my brand new monitor on the porch. Which I appreciate.

Have two of these monitors and I love them. First IPS monitors ive own after coming from 22 TN panels (couldnt stand the poor viewing angles). They are very nice displays with nice stands (though I have mine mounted with the included VESA). Super thin and light monitors. Had a sceptre monitor like 15 years ago and forgot about the brand complete until I was in the market for a new displays. I feel like for a monitor of this size, with an IPS display and 144hz, i dont think you can find a better deal. And as far as Im concerned, they are truly borderless, and look beautiful mounted side by side, almost seamless screen to screen. The one annoyance i have is that when the monitor is on, but not receiving a signal, the power indicator light flashes on and off with a blue light. This really only annoys me because my monitors are set up in my bedroom, and this is super annoying when I try to sleep (I can sleep in a brightly lit room, but a repetitive flashing kills me). This is minor however as if you click the power button it switches to a solid red light.

I hardly have any qualms with this monitor. But three things that might be a deal breaker for you. Cons 1) The mount is a bit wobbly even when screwed in tightly 2) Back light bleed 3) Dead pixel(s) so far I only have one dead pixel and it isn’t all that bothersome but if continues to deteriorate I do plan on updating this review. Pros 1) Solid price point 2) Clean minimal bezels 3) 165hz 4) auto shut off feature when not in use (I play PS4) 5) No input lag 6) Image quality is great

The monitor is great, however, the package came with a criminally short power cable and no manual.

This monitor is great. 165hz is a great difference from 60hz by far!! Amazing picture and graphic quality really good colors as ips panels should have but one things that absolutely terrible is the forward tilt the monitor has you have be a smurf or 5 foot tall to be looking the monitor directly unless you have a monitor stand you should be fine but unless like me and thought the monitor would be just straight at you, you need to compensate and buy a stand or somehow elevate the monitor this tilt forward is caused by the terrible stand design but besides that once you have the figured out the monitor is fantastic

    Greater than one week

i ordered 2 of these 11 months ago so as to use them in a dual monitor setup. I was disappointed from the start. I was skeptical at first to purchase these monitors due to the price tag (200usd) and the specifications that were offered for that price. The monitor cannot run 165hz, it can sometimes but it cannot keep up. screen tearing at this refresh rate is almost always there, everyday. i would have to refresh the signal every time so that i can get smooth 165hz. until i decided enough was enough and just ran the monitor at 144hz. dead pixels on one monitor. like 7 or 8 of them, which i have no idea how that happened. the colors arent all that great. especially for an ips panel. that was dissappointing. the screen tearing was happening even with freesync on. tried to fiddle around with the overdrive settings, but to no avail. i am selling these 2 monitors and opting for a more reliable and reputable competitor. very disappointed, the monitors are barely a year old.
