> 24 hourSo, I’ve attached some photos of the screen tearing within the monitor after just 2.5 months of use. I tried a new cord, different slots, and reset the monitor—still tearing… It tears when using 165 hz and 144 hz settings. The tearing is slowly getting worse and flickers more now. I’m pretty frustrated about this purchase. I got bamboozled! I’d really just like a $200 monitor that doesn’t just start failing after 2-3 months. I’ll edit this rating if customer service helps with a replacement or refund. UPDATE: They honored the 1-year warranty and tested my monitor for free with a free shipping label. After about a week, they claimed it had “no issues as of yet.” I told them to test it again and to leave the monitor on for a while. They emailed me back after doing so and concluded that there was indeed an issue. They replaced it with a brand new monitor which works perfectly as of now. It was all a bit of a hassle, but they fixed my issue, and I’m happy with it. It’s a good monitor for the price. I was just unlucky and got a faulty monitor. It happens! Great customer service.

> 24 hourpros: -all metal stand thats very sturdy -easy to set up -includes a screwdriver -includes a dp cable -monitor has an audio out port -stand is minimal and doesnt take up room on your desk -looks awesome cons: -12v dc power supply -minor backlight bleed at the bottom -speakers are utter trash, wear headphones overall this monitor has been awesome for me so far and the picture quality is beautiful. probably the best 144hz monitor under $200 EDIT 9/19/20: originally when i had reviewed this i gave it 5 stars but im taking away 1 star and here’s why: the OSD on this monitor is horrible. the buttons are on the back of the monitor so you cant see what youre pressing and sometimes the buttons barely work. then, if your monitor doesnt detect a signal within 4 seconds of being powered on, it goes into “power saving mode”. its really frustrating sometimes to use this especially if you have multiple inputs that you frequently switch between.

> 24 hourI bought this as my first gaming monitor. Its bright, no dead pixels that Ive noticed and works as intended, but it took me a very long time to get it to work. Since this is my first monitor for my first pc, I didnt know why it wasnt working when I turned it on with the DisplayPort cable that was provided. After going through countless videos on youtube, and threads on reddit, I finally came upon a video that said to try booting up using a HDMI cable. So after hours of worrying that Id have to return this item and wait another week for a new monitor to arrive, I decided to buy a Hdmi cable. Finally, it worked. I got the HDMI 2.0 cable, so that I could use it at 144hz. ALSO, one of the screws on the stem just doesnt go into place. I tried 30 minutes trying to screw it into place and even used a drill, but no use. It still stands up, but its wobbly, and it worries me. Very disappointed...

> 24 hourI bought 2 of the Sceptre 1080p, 165Hz 23 displays on September 11th, 2020. On November 4th, 2020 one of them suddenly developed two vertical dead pixel lines across the display, and there are visibly different color shades in rectangles around the lines of dead pixels. The dead pixels show up across the Sceptre logo when the screen is first powered on, as well. I will now be putting Sceptres support and RMA process to the test. One other thing to note is that the buttons on the display are along the right edge and on the back of the display. This means for any dual-monitor users out there that you cant reach them when the screen is right up against another screen. This is an incredibly poor design choice, especially for a gaming screen as gamers are much more likely to have two displays vs casual desktop users.

> 24 hourshipping was fast ordered on the 28th and received on the 30th great value for a full 1080p monitor that also supports 165hz via display port and it came with a display port cable no dead pixels or issues so far Pros- great price, great picture, capable of 165hz, solid screw in stand with tilt and vesa compatible, edgeless screen, has free sync with amd 3hdmi ports and display port, colors are nice Cons-no gsync, no height adjust, display settings out of box need to be adjusted, menu buttons could be better I personally like the joystick Overall- cant beat the price of this everything you need for 1080p gaming it lacks a couple features but definitely worth every penny would buy again

> 24 hourI was deathly afraid of dead pixels showing up on my monitor but thankfully I found none. I was able to get this monitor on sale for under $200 which was amazing. I have it on the stand it came with but it is nice to know that I can wall mount it if I want to in the future. I was using a 60 hz monitor before and this is light years better. Would recommend to get this monitor on sale if possible.

> 24 hourEverything is great if you wanna 144-165 frames this is a really nice one especially for the price. Everything is going smooth so far and it almost a month no problems. I think the only quip I have is the cable might be a bit too short and that’s all; but then you can get your own display as well so that solves it.

> 24 hourThis monitor is gorgeous to look at and performs wonderfully. The only issue I have is the support seems to be a little precarious. The unit can be pushed to tip forward with very little force. It you have furry children who walk around on your desk, you could easily end up with this unit screen down. A quick answer if to make sure the back leg is secured somehow. The long answer is for Sceptre to engineer future versions with a more stable base.
