Had the chance to buy more recent model but saw all the comments and found that the older version has its fame even until now for a good reason. Also, really like the password system that can be implemented at the start of use in any device which just adds an extra security protection. Never even gets near warm nor hot even with constant usage. Definitely could say it is better than the san disk one which gets super hot even without actually using it to transfer data.

oh man the connector cables they provide are CRAP. Loose USB C ends keep causing lost connections with my phone. damn guys, you went cheap.

What a disappointing purchase. I’ve been trying to use this hard drive since July when I bought it. It needs software in order to use it. Software won’t install on my Mac. I contact Samsung support. One person tells me it’s an Apple problem and to contact Apple. Another person says they will get back to me and that it’s a Samsung software issue. When I ask how long before they get back to me they reply that they don’t know. So what I have bought an expensive hard drive that doesn’t work! A paper it is then! Useless Samsung customer support. Useless hard drive that should not require additional software installation. And if it does should be compatible with Mac. If I could zero stars I would. So disappointed!

I bought this profuct to backup my apple computer. When the backup arrives near 600TB the disk is full. I erase and format the disk three times. I use my PRIME menbersihip to retur it to Amazon.
