> 3 dayI was actually surprised at how small and light the drive was when I got it. Im using it on a 2017 13 MacBook Pro and have it formatted with APFS (Encrypted). While Im not seeing the quoted average up to speeds of 500+ MB/s, they are still impressive (see screenshot). I use this drive for my video editing (scratch disk and saving). It works great for Final Cut Pro and ScreenFlow Pro.

> 3 dayCould not get Bitlocker turned on with this drive. I work in IT and followed articles online. It appears the Samsung software has changed and it no longer works. Drive is great otherwise, but wouldnt recommend if Bitlocker is important.

> 3 dayMaybe the best out there for fast storage on the go. Costs a lot though.

> 3 dayI just wanted an external SSD that could read/write fast enough to use for short term, then store the projects later on a cloud/backup drive. This works great for that! I also love the fact that I can change machines seemlessly. All I really need is a computer that has a good graphics card and now it doesnt necessarily need to have an SSD.

Greater than one weekWorks great in my Model Y. Just wish it loaded footage a bit faster but that could be the cars fault.

Greater than one weekWhy do you use external hard drives? I use them for backup and large scale transfers. E.g. from an old to a new machine. Or as insurance when I upgrade OSes.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised except included cable repeatedly works its way free from my 2016 MacBookPro. Ive tried every one of the four ports and the problem continues.

> 3 dayThis is a great buy if you need to ensure you back up your PC/MAC. My MAC was on the fritz and so I got another and wanted to to a system to system transfer (Works on PCs right) but it didnt work on the MAC. So I thought to move to the cloud, but the MAC was overheating before the transfers would go through. This solved the problem and kept me from having to pay more for a larger cloud plan. Now I keep it handy and do a recent docs/pics transfer more often to ensure we never lose files.
