> 3 daySSD continues to work fine, but was leaking white waxy material after 1 year of use. Some searches online revealed that the case has an encapsulated Phase Change Material (ePCM) and it likely leaked while under heavy load. There are YouTube videos and Reddit posts of similar experiences. Still works fine, though its concerning. A fast drive and I still generally recommend it; ordered a 2TB version, will focus more on cooling as I request warranty service.

> 3 dayWhen it worked it was fine but eventually it got super buggy and disconnects if you try and send more than a few gigs of data to it. Sad part is Samsung buries it’s support for these and I cannot get a hold of anyone to get a fix. I get that these are sort of disposable but honestly I expect way better from a company that has a trophy for customer support which I doubt they’ve actually earned seeing as you have to jump through hoops just to maybe get the email or chat they offer.

> 3 dayThis drive is significantly faster and more stable than its predecessor, the Samsung T5 SSD. I used the T5 for a couple years as the primary boot drive on an iMac 5K and found it to absolutely slow to a crawl when doing too much at once. A combination of syncing many iCloud files while Onedrive is updating and further opening multiple Office apps would bog down the T5 completely, which was infuriating. An SSD should be able to do many general tasks without issue, and the T7 (with 2x the write speed of the T5) absolutely does. Im not sure what people are referring to about heat; sure, it gets warm, but Ive seen no performance impacts. If you think this drive gets abnormally warm, check out the Eero pro mesh devices! Very happy with the Samsung T7.

> 3 dayIm using this as a Time Machine backup drive with my Mac. Id been using an old HDD external drive that was big and clunky and over time, it had gotten noisy. This drive is silent, and tiny--about the size of a thick credit card. As long as it stays reliable (and I have no reason to think it wont), its a vast improvement!

> 3 dayThese drives are perfect for my needs. I have had 2- 1TB and now 2- 2TB. They are small, lightweight, and easily fit in a shirt pocket. I have had no negative experiences with them and will recommend them to everyone who has serious storage needs.

> 3 dayI play a game called DayZ on my PlayStation 4. Its a busy, graphic intensive online game that tends to lag. I cant get a PS5 right now, which could help as it has a faster processor. I wanted to find if there was some way to upgrade my existing PS4, and in looking, I learned that a solid state external drive can communicate several times faster with the PS4 processor than the mechanical installed hard drive. I purchased this to cut down on the lag in the game, installed it, and transferred the game from internal to external storage. Luckily, it worked great. My lag has been reduced by at least 60%-70%. Its a little drive that holds a good deal of memory, and fits in your pocket. I am very please with it.
