Not sure if it is just my luck, but the USB-C to USB-C cable included has poor performance. It is slow (maybe USB 2.0 speeds) and only mounts in one specific direction. Luckily I had another cable from another accessory that works better. Otherwise, the included USB-C to USB-A cable works perfectly.

If you have to plug into USB 3 (a), the drive tanks. I’ll be going back to T5s. I would not buy this unless you have a specific need and only use the newest computers out there. Need flexibility? T5

Bought a new MacBook Pro 14 inch. Needed a nice fast ssd. This thing is tiny and portable. Highly recommend this one.

It is a great little drive, very fast!

Ive not had this long enough to judge the reliability, but so far Im very pleased. Im using it as an extra backup drive for my Mac, replacing an old external HDD which failed. Transfer speed seems very good. Ive just purchased a second one for my wifes Macbook.

It’s a fast drive that’s basically credit card sized. You can’t beat it. So compact and great for a working drive for editing video. I don’t really use it for long term storage but it works well as my photo and video editing drive.

Prefer this much more than the T7 with finger print scanner. Cheers!

Samsung Portable SSD T7 1TB is trash. Avoid this drive. Internal corrosion renders useless in less than a year. Warranty is difficult process requiring return to Samsung at own expense and wait for process.
