What a great drive for the price. I always use SSD drives for my OS and Programs. My old one topped out around 400 read/write and was only 120GB. After nearing capacity I opted for this drive. ATTO confirmed read/write speeds are exactly as advertised and a noticeable improvement over my old SSD. Until I go with M2 this will be my go to drive for any build. Note: these things fly on the Intel Chipset. I tried it on my Asmedia Sata 3 controller and it only reached low/mid 400’s. So if you have trouble with speed try a different SATA port. Nowadays Mobo manufacturers have their own storage controllers that seemingly can’t keep up with Intel storage controllers.

I ran out of space on the old SSD drive on my Mac Pro 5,1 and wanted known reliability and good performance in the replacement. Although this cost more than the newer QVO drives, there are benefits to the technology in this drive, in that it should wear better (ie: longer lifetime) than the QVO. I actually bought a QVO drive first but discovered a firmware flaw that keeps it from booting correctly in the Mac Pro 5,1. The EVO gives me high performance and dependability, and is arguably a better technology.

I have both Samsung Evo and the Crucial SSD and so far I’m loving the Samsung SSD on my MacBook Pro mid 2012 more. Makes everything run smooth and FAST. Getting a second one to replace the optical drive and have even more space.

This is a great drive if you do not have an m.2 PCIe slot for a really fast drive. It reads and writes a little slow, though. According to CrystalDiskMark 7.0, the drive reads and writes at about 404MB/s under no load. It would be a better drive if it read and wrote at 500MB/s. Still, its a great drive for the price. I use it as a backup drive for my external Samsung T5 SSD.

Almost two years in use with my Intel I7 HTPC, no problems whatsoever in installing it, installing Windows 10 Pro 64 and all apps that followed. Apparently very fast in my mini computer, not being challenged by speed-hungry apps.

Bought these for my PS4 Pro, HP ProBook 4540s, and AMD Phenom II desktop (the last two running Fedora Linux). The PS4 Pros performance is now silky smooth compared to the standard hard drive and the laptop and desktop got a majorly new lease on life in performance. Bootup is less than 10 seconds on the laptop and desktop compared to what it was before. Definitely recommend this SSD.

Replaced a HDD in an older laptop, now it runs like a new machine! The Samsung migration software worked perfectly; having a USB to SATA external adapter helped tremendously.
