> 3 dayI bought the SSD in hopes the Samsung software would be able to clone my current drive but it sadly failed miserably. Wasted hours trying to clone my old SSD but until I move on to a third party software.

> 3 dayAs my original 500 GB SSD was becoming filled, I decided to replace it with a 1TB Samsung 980. Not only did I double my space, but the operating speed was significant as I ran my programs.

> 3 dayI bought the Samsung 980 for a refurbed office PC that I use (shockingly) as an office PC. Price was the primary factor here. The 970 Pro and 980 Pro are both somewhat faster, but they are also more than twice as expensive for the capacity. Most mid-tier and up SSDs have a DRAM cache that improvs performance, particularly when you have a lot of smaller requests of smaller files going on at or near the same time. The 980 doesnt have that cache, instead it requisitions a chunck of your system RAM for use as a cache. On PCs with 8GB of RAM or more you probably wont notice it, but if you only have 4GB of RAM you might notice some slowdown. The PC Im using this SSD in has 16GB of RAM, so its not really a factor.

Greater than one weekI got this NVME SSD because it has the fastest possible speed for a pcie 3.0 motherboard and yet had a low cost and a reputable reliability brand. Installation was easy and I immediately noticed the improvement in the speed of my apps, highly recommended.
