I used this drive on an important clients computer, but only after returning the used defective drive shipped with torn and taped up factory box with missing documents, and obvious signs of having been used. If I cant get new when I pay for it, Ill shop elsewhere.

Very good. It holds all my pictures of porcupines fine and without judging.

It comes with Data Migration Software. This will allow you to copy your HDD to your SSD without third party software. Thats the reason to buy Samsung over other options.

I came from using a 5+ old sata hard disk that had become quite sluggish even on a newly formatted OS. Switching to the SSD, I found it shocking how fast it was installing a fresh copy of Windows (about 5 minutes from a Samsung 300mbps flash drive). The boot speeds are even more incredible, 26 seconds vs 5ish minutes when on hdd. Every desktop app is now snappy and I feel like I just got a brand new laptop!

No where on the listing or on the products own merchandise package does it state that the mounting screws are not included. Only says it in tiny letters on page 3 of the installation guide. Really had me unplug my system, drag it out, open it up. Just for me to realize I need to order a $5 mounting kit. For the price of this it should be included. Thanks for nothing.

Samsung has become a first class manufacturer of many tech products. Anything Samsung makes is excellent. In fact, Samsung makes video panels for many other tech manufacturer. This 980 NVME drive is super in several ways. It has become more affordable. When Samsung runs a price break, run to the store or online and get it. Then you will have a double deal. Installation is as simple as with any drive. Samsungs reliability is excellent. This drive will outlast the computer it is installed in. The NVME drives are extremely fast. Boot time and data exchange will amaze you. Samsung gives you value and reliability. All my main drives are Samsung.

This is a great addition to my machine. Sadly my motherboard doesnt have native support but I added a PCI-e card and this hard drive and were off and running at super speed. Once this was configured in the bios I cloned my C drive and it booted up from this natively. Perfect.

This was a nice upgrade for the storage in my secondary computer. Install was easy but I’m in IT so your experience may vary.
