The drive itself is fantastic (thats what I was expecting). Where I was pleasantly surprised is using the Samsung Data Conversion software (free directly from Samsung website). It made converting from a mechanical drive to SSD quick and easy! In addition, they also have a SSD Magician that will allow you to quickly check the health of your drive and update firmware. Bravo Samsung!

Easy to install and the amazing enclosed software

I am replacing all my hard drives with SSDs. Until these 8Tb drives it was not practical or cost effective to replace them but at this point, I dont see going back anytime soon. This drive is in the sweet spot for price/reliability/performance.

Stopped recognizing the drive and boots to bios. Replaced with a different ssd and the issue was fixed. Poor quality control

This Samsung 2TB SSD drive is a middle ground for PC storage. I have one to conserve space on my 1TB SSD M.2 Drive that is used for the boot drive. It’s pretty much easy to install out of the box if you are familiar with sata cables. Make sure to buy a cable to connect it to the motherboard because this one does not come with it. Only bad thing I have to say is that I wish it came with a cable. I realize the cables for power and data transfer are usually inexpensive but knowing the price point of this drive felt it deserves a cable in the box.
