Works great and was packaged well.

The price for the product is good and have installed it. it serves it purposes well.

I bought this for an old laptop whose 2.5 HDD was very evidently slowing down and might have been on its last legs. I didnt want to have to lose everything or do a recovery once it finally broke down. My goal was to clone the existing contents of that drive onto this one, so that I could preserve not only its installed programs and documents, but also its bootable state. I have to say, the Samsung Evo came through for me, and I feel like Im using a brand new device - and a brand new device thats running Windows 7, at that :-)

Terrible product. Died after 13 months of use. Will not be purchasing this again!!

I had been getting some HD errors on my old 2012 MacBook Pro. After reading a number of reviews, I decided on the Samsung EVO 870. I did a clean install on the MacBook, and I was stunned at the performance improvement. A boot went from minutes to something like 30 seconds. It certainly brought new life to my old MacBook. I could not be more pleased.

First thing download the Samsung transfer programs. This product has increased my performance in my computer. Start up is about 10sec compared to around 3min. With the computer off I unhooked my DVD player and used the power and network cable, copied the old drive to the 870 then unhooked the main drive, switched network connections on the motherboard and turn it on it recognized the 870 as primary drive then turn it back off and hook up the old drive and it kept the 870 as the main drive. With my desktop HP 8300 elite the storage slot was right below the DVD. Bought a 3.5 to 2.5 tray. With the software this was very easy. Now I have 2 drives and a better performing computer. Pictures show the performance of the old drive compared to the 870.
