Got this for the neighbors cat, she loves it on freezing nights

Shipping was quick. I have a Exo Terra 40, (36 x 18 inches). I rescued two leopard geckos from a neglectful owner and I wanted to make sure they had proper heat to keep them healthy. I was worried about the light from a typical heat bulb, and Ive seen a lot of bulbs returned at the pet store I work at. These ceramic heat elements are supposed to last many times longer than tradition bulbs which is great deal. The price is good as well, it is around the same as other heat bulbs of the same size. I like that it emits no light, because it doesnt disturb my sleep or cast an unnatural red glow in the daytime.

It is a high quality product and long lasting. I used for my turtle for heat and it appears effective.

Ceramic part detached from threaded metal portion while in use, causing the hot ceramic portion to fall onto & burn my carpet. Couldve been very dangerous if it landed in my pets habitat.

Works perfect

This bulb is ok, but not very warm, I wanted use it to make an incubator, but it is too cold and low power to heat from above unless it is close. Im keeping it to use as a heat lamp for when the ducklings hatch to warm them, might use another bulb I have that is hotter first as this is not very powerful.
