> 3 daySuper easy do-it-yourself installation even for a novice. The valve performs completely as advertised. Extremely quiet during flap opening, water discharge, and flap closing. It’s worth the few extra dollars over a loud and inefficient clunky sump water valve. Wish I installed decades ago. These should be standard in all residential homes. I’m going to get another one for the other sump pump in my home.

> 3 dayWorks as it should. Easy to install. Much quieter than the one we had before, no more water hammer sound. Nice to be able to see the flap to know if its working. Would recommend.

> 3 dayCompared to the valve it replaced, this thing is a gem. The thump thump thump (17 times each cycle) is gone. Slightly longer pump cycle time, but very reasonable. Easy installation, real test is coming this spring.

> 3 dayThe `clop sound after every sump pump cycle is entirely gone - not even the slightest noise is emitted after a pump cycle. In truth, I never really minded hearing that `clop sound, especially at night when the house is quiet and it is raining heavily outside because it was reassuring to know that the power was on, and the sump pump was doing its job. But, I went for it at twice the cost ($26) of the Home Depot check valves which have the `clop sound but have been 100% reliable in my 30-years of homeownership experience just because I like to keep our home improved and up to date. And, its sorta neat seeing the water flow through its clear body. Bottom line, if the sound of a normal sump pump check valve is annoying heres your quality, quieting solution.

> 3 daySump pump in basement directly under master bedroom. This was our first spring in the house. The Ck valve on the sump pump would close very loud effected our sleep. Found this Ck valve and gave it a try. No more noise, would recommend and would repurchase.

> 3 dayThis check valve is used for removing flood water. It worked when first installed, kept the water in the hose from flooding the basin. After it sat for a few days, when the pump came on again, the flapper wouldnt open to pass water. Pump works just fine with check valve removed. I removed the check valve and cleaned the seal surface, it worked next time but when it sat for a few days, flapper wouldnt open next time it was needed. Not reliable at all if you depend on it not letting water return to the basin then emptying the basin when needed.

> 3 dayQuieted the sum-pump so well my husband thought it had stopped working, so easy to install, took about 5 minutes! Now we can have guests actually sleep over without the fear of them waking up with all of the banging this new sum pump made! Great product!

> 3 dayI had bad water hammer every time my sump pump would run. I had a check valve already, the style with an offset silencing air chamber, but decided to give this style a try. It instantly fixed my water hammer issue and my whole family is happy!
