These check valves come with 1/2” couplers where most others come with 1/2” to 1/4” as the valve is only 1/4”. This should easily fit onto an existing system with 1/2” pipes. They are very quite compared to traditional check valves. I will update this review if they become noisy or break/leak.

Easy to install & don’t even hear my sump pump run anymore.

Works in horizontal position. Can watch flow. No noise as others have reported. In cabinet under sink with a tank/pump system as no other way to drain sink by gravity

easy to install (careful with the dimensions if replacing a different type). My old valve (Klunkless type) failed. I got this one on Amazon as none was available at HD next to me. the older one used to make a sound when closing. This one is great, impressively silent. and being transparent is great to avoid the week or so until noticing failure like the older one.

Now Im concerned whether my sump pump is working or not! I cant here the hammer sound anymore! My pump runs constantly end of winter/spring so Ill be really impressed if this lasts 2-3 years....

My sump pumps runs every 15 minutes and the old check valve could be heard throughout our house. There is a 6 lift from the pump to the discharge with the valve installed near the bottom. The new check valve was easy to install and doesnt make a sound when operating, it works as described!

Installed this yesterday. Very easy to install. Did a few test runs and this thing is whisper quiet. Previous check valve from previous home owners was so loud and sent a loud thump throughout the house all the way to the 3rd level. I cannot hear a single thing while in the basement with this one is in use. Ill come back and update my review once we make it through a couple of storms.

I have tried other brands/designs of quiet check valves without success. I like this style because of ease of install with the hose clamps. I like the heavy spring inside that keeps the check valve closed rather than a flap style that bounces. This has positive closure and quality design. Ive purchased two and would recommend these.
