Ok so the first thing I want to get out of the way is, the monitor has to be tweaked a bit when first using it out of the box. You can use it right away out of the box no problem but you probably want to fidget a bit with the settings because text looks a little blurry and if you have a Freesync compatible GPU then obviously you want to enable that. Also you have to manually set the refresh rate to 144Hz in the display settings but I think you have to do this with all monitors. Anyways for the most part, this monitor definitely has a good price to performance. Being a highschooler that has no job and in this crazy year of 2020, I was still able to afford it.

It’s really good for the Xbox series s I thought it was broken or the description lied because it was just sunning at 60hz, but I just had to change the setting to HDMI and thought solved the problem. And the speakers aren’t that bad the colors are also good and pretty accurate highly recommend for the price

Update Nov 5, 2020: The monitor is still going strong. It is on a gas mount stand now. No issues or dead pixels. First review: I am really happy that there is a high Hz 32 inch flat screen option. The Pixio included display port cable is locking. With the freesync disabled and in DP 1, the included cable will do 165hz at 1440 on gtx 970. I like how pleasant the screen light was on the eyes compared to the monitor I have been using. The colors are very decent for an 8 bit monitor. The stand is sturdy and the feet have rubber grips. The headphone audio out works. No, this monitor does not have speakers. I love that this monitor is flat and is cheaper than a gsync. My PX329 32 inch monitor arrived damage from amazon packaging wrong end up. I tested what I could before sadly packing it up for a return. It happens. Pixo was great to respond to my email and get a hold of Amazon to make this process faster. Wonderful customer support that goes above and beyond.

The brightness issues other have mentioned dont seem to be an issue with my unit. Also they included a display port 1.2 6ft cable in the box. The included cable is suitable for 1440p 165hz. Was able to enable g-sync at the 165hz as well with the included cable. I used the monitor color profile provided by Hardware Unboxed $5 Patreon rewards and the colors look great with that profile applied through windows. All in all, probably the best 2k 165hz FLAT panel monitor you can get for the price. Was thinking about getting the G5 odyssey but held off as I really wanted a flat panel opposed to a curved one. Build quality is great, and Wendel from Level1 Tech on YT had high praises of this monitor as well. And they do a lot of cheap Korean monitor reviews. Dont be put off by the brand name, the monitor and panel does what it claims to do a the best price on the market. Also has an OSD crosshair you can enable for games that dont offer one or in case the game you are playing has a crosshair you dont like, you can disable the in game crosshair and use the OSD one instead.

DO NOT BUY THE MODEL WITH NO VA OR IPS. You will get jipped, bamboozled and have a bad day unless you know what you are doing. If you pick the one with no IPS in the Style name, you will experience intense ghosting and color artifacts that feel as if the monitor were retrieved from the crusty industrial warehouse. I got this monitor for my daughter, who is crying as I write this review (shes 9 years old) The box the monitor arrives in feels used, and it has a sticky residue if you know where to look. The ghosting was horrible. White-on-black text will morph into a putrid yellow artifact. Color artifacts were present as well if you switched the color options & refresh rate. The display itself was not stable in between changes. 144hz would make the display appear crisp and great, despite the ghosting. 119hz would wash the output with a horrible tone of white. Honestly, the only redeeming characteristics of the monitor are the: OSD, stand design and bevel.

Liked the monitor, bought it last May, so less than a year. Could it have been bumped? Possibly. But if so, it was indetectable to me. Happened while gaming. Cant see any area on the screen thats broke when its turned off.

Pros: -Cheap -Has crosshair overlay -Bright (more than 350nit) Cons: -Extreme Ghosting (from Red) at 165hz no matter the Overdrive Setting -HDR is EXTREMELY bright, colors look unusual This is a 144hz VA panel, thats OCd to 165hz, and has lots of ghosting from Red. I would HIGHLY recommend using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) to make a 155hz profile, turn off Overdrive, and use it this way! Almost no ghosting, and looks more buttery smooth w/o the visual anamalies.

Pros: - Great picture quality. Deep whites, rich blacks, vibrant colors. Good color accuracy after some minor tweaks. Great white and black uniformity. Contrast ratio is lower than most VA panels but still a huge step up from an IPS or TN panel. Gaming is where this monitor really shines! - Two display ports, two HDMI ports - Joystick OSD control was snappy and response. Lots of options in the OSD - Very low input lag, very response Cons: - Small text is blurry and has noticeable fringing. I tried solving this by maxing out the sharpness and using Cleartype and several solutions I found online. This seems to be an issue inherent with VA panels. I planned to use this as a work monitor, but this issue was too noticeable for me. Some will be less sensitive to this though - My unit came with some minor scuffs on the back of the panel Misc: - Stand is very study, but has only tilt adjustment - 32 inches is big for a monitor. Great if its your only monitor, but I had this as a second display and my neck was not happy from needing to move so much - Response time is a mixed bag. Most of the time motion is clear, especially in bright areas. Smearing becomes somewhat noticeable in dark areas. I didnt mind it because it was brief, but if response time is important, then a TN panel or a high end IPS panel will work better for you. Hardware Unboxed stated in their review for this monitor than in terms of response time, its closer to 120hz panel overall

So Id say Ive used the set of these monitors long enough to have an accurate review of them. Overall theyve worked pretty well for me since I bought them on September 26, 2021. Pretty good picture quality for 1080p pretty good for competitive FPS games etc with its 144hz & 1ms response time. But more recently Ive run into the issue of it going completely black on me.. now I know that my new 6700xt isnt at fault with its drivers fully up to date so I proceeded to replace the display cables and make sure they had enough slack to not cause such blackouts while I was mid-game/movie/work-related environment; unfortunately, after taking all the above steps drivers, cabling, etc I still had the issue. Now it may not have been often but it was several times a week. Also when I have the monitor clocked at 144hz in certain games it causes any motion within the application to result in a black screen whereas repeated restarts would eventually fix it or lower my refresh rate down to a measly 60hz... which kind of defeats the purpose of my buying these gaming monitors. I started checking out the monitors internal menu and noticed that the firmware was still on V1.0. I scoured the internet and pixios site and couldnt find a lick of information on the issue or the lack of updates. I proceeded to email their customer service to ask if I was just missing where the firmware was listed or if it was EOL. They got back to me and said they dont allow customers access to firmware or potential updates past what theyre initially shipped with. Im going to use these monitors til they die but past that I cant recommend another pixio product if they dont allow paying customers access to any kind of self-service support. Im not shipping two monitors to who knows where for firmware updates especially on my dime. Its not realistic and not a good way to build more than one-off customers. In conclusion, theyre good enoough, but Id have gone with another brand if I could do things over.
