Pros: -Cheap -Has crosshair overlay -Bright (more than 350nit) Cons: -Extreme Ghosting (from Red) at 165hz no matter the Overdrive Setting -HDR is EXTREMELY bright, colors look unusual This is a 144hz VA panel, thats OCd to 165hz, and has lots of ghosting from Red. I would HIGHLY recommend using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) to make a 155hz profile, turn off Overdrive, and use it this way! Almost no ghosting, and looks more buttery smooth w/o the visual anamalies.

I’ve read all the reviews and was hesitant but I just went for it and got this monitor cuz I needed one. It works fine! Make sure to plug the hdmi or whatever cable you have into the right spot. The settings are easy to control and if you run into any issues, solutions are pretty easy to come across online. It’s a perfect size in my opinion and the quality is nice.

Used for gaming on Xbox Series S. Used high speed HDMI 2.1. No matter what settings I used (overdrive, Freesync, both together), I could not get rid of the ghosting or screen tearing on any game. Especially noticeable in games where you are indoor where objects are closer vs an outdoor setting. The picture quality was weird too. It made games look shiny and the transitions from light to dark was not smooth at all. The dark would instantly get too dark Not sure if its because its a VA panel, but I would definitely not recommend using this model for gaming. I would go for the IPS panel model from Pixio.

Have to say I was skeptical. This is not a Korean monitor if anyone is wondering. It’s a company in Cali but still small nonetheless. When I got the packaging open I was pleased to see the amount of foam protecting my monitor. The monitor stand while not adjustable is completely solid and made of metal I did not expect this and was absolutely impressed because I didn’t even get a metal stand for my 700 dollar ultrawide that’s in my bedroom. Got everything put together with the bolts provided which are very easy to work with. Now came the moment of truth turning the monitor on was kind of a moment I was fearing because you never know what kind of problems can happen with the panel. Turned my computer on and the monitor fired right up. I let out a sigh of relief because Everything was perfect. No dead pixels. No uneven backlighting. No strobing. No problems! I am absolutely shocked and pleased with this purchase. I can’t belive this kind of quality that beat out lg and Samsung (both are high dollar past purchases for me) came from a small company in Cali. Good job pixio team. You built a great product and you just earned a repeat buyer.

I got this monitor because it is FLAT and supposedly works with G Sync. With the included DP cable, G Sync appears to work just fine with my RTX 2070. The Nvidia control panel says the monitor is not certified g sync compatible, but it still allows you to enable and it works well. Games are buttery smooth and input lag is basically non existent. Im quite satisfied with the colors right out of the box and found no need to adjust for the most part. Only thing I changed was enabling the Low Blue Light setting to Low (options are L, M, H). Freesync also isnt enabled by default on the monitor, so you need to enable that yourself quickly. Ive seen complaints on the brightness of the monitor, but mine is more than bright enough in my office that gets plenty of natural light from a large window right next to my desk. $300 well spent! Two big time gripes for this monitor after using it for a couple weeks. - First, once the monitor goes to sleep after it loses signal, there appears to be no way of waking it back up unless you hold the power button to turn it off, then turn it back on. This is a problem for me because I have this monitor connected to two computers (my personal gaming desktop and my work laptop). If I turn one computer off and the monitor goes to sleep, I cant wake it back up to switch the input to the other. - That brings me to my next issue. Theres no quick way of switching inputs. You need to dig through the OSD menu to get to the source switch. I go back and forth between inputs regularly, so I find this very annoying. So annoying that Im currently looking into some sort of displayport switch to avoid it altogether. Update: returned it just before the end of the return period. The two nuisances mentioned above ended up being deal breakers for me. Returned and got an LG 32GK650F-B for the exact same price (Micro Center). Much better OSD, fully articulating stand.

I’ve had this for a week now and so far so good! Right out of the box the image quality isn’t absolutely perfect, but a quick YouTube search for good settings had everything looking amazing very quickly! This monitor is huge, it’s been great for my work flow and for gaming as well(The Witcher 3 at ultra settings is gorgeous). I will say if you have any weird image things in your games- turn off overdrive in the settings! Took me a while to figure that one out. Also, you’ll need to go into your settings and enable free sync if you have a Gpu that supports it. The base is metal and structurally sound the overall quality for the price is a 10/10 from me and I highly recommended this monitor. I’ll also note I’m using the display port if that matters! Great job Pixio, I was definitely worried I was spending too little and expecting too much- but this monitor is amazing.

Overall its great, but the one thing that it lacks is that it doesnt have any buttons or touch control panel to change the settings of the monitor such as gamma, brightness, color contrast, etc. It looks really nice but the fact that it doesnt have an onboard control panel is what makes me take a star away. The screen is bright and its nice, but at night it is hard to look at. Either way, I still think this is a better buy than the sceptre monitor close to this price range. The 144hz works fine and its great that they included the DP cable. UPDATE: I found out how to access the menu options and its a button/joystick flush with the back of the monitor. I dont know why this took me an overwhelming amount of time to find.

If all you want is a big display with high refresh rate and freesync, this is a good option. My only complaints is a lack of brightness (doesnt get too bright) and only getting 8-bit display color vs 10 for my old monitor. Very happy with $300 for this compared to $500+ for a high quality option at the same size. Also, the VESA mount isnt centered, which makes mounting it along with other displays harder. However, I am happy that it at least has the option for the mount.

The brightness issues other have mentioned dont seem to be an issue with my unit. Also they included a display port 1.2 6ft cable in the box. The included cable is suitable for 1440p 165hz. Was able to enable g-sync at the 165hz as well with the included cable. I used the monitor color profile provided by Hardware Unboxed $5 Patreon rewards and the colors look great with that profile applied through windows. All in all, probably the best 2k 165hz FLAT panel monitor you can get for the price. Was thinking about getting the G5 odyssey but held off as I really wanted a flat panel opposed to a curved one. Build quality is great, and Wendel from Level1 Tech on YT had high praises of this monitor as well. And they do a lot of cheap Korean monitor reviews. Dont be put off by the brand name, the monitor and panel does what it claims to do a the best price on the market. Also has an OSD crosshair you can enable for games that dont offer one or in case the game you are playing has a crosshair you dont like, you can disable the in game crosshair and use the OSD one instead.
