Greater than one weekI have problems with high blood pressure, so it’s hard to find antihistamines for that. I read the reviews on Now Quercetin With Bromelain so I decided to try it. I felt relief with one dose and now that I’ve been taking it for about five days, no more pain nor side effects for me. I’m allergic to cedar and I’m surrounded by it. My face hasn’t hurt nor has my right eyeball felt too big for the socket. I’ll never be without this for seasonal allergies. I am eighty-two years old with heart problems so this works for me. > 3 dayI cant take OTC or prescription allergy products due to the side effects and have seasonal allergies in addition to high sensitivity to onion and garlic, anything in the allium family in general, fennel, spider bites, etc. I have been taking 2 capsules of this twice a day (800 mg Quercetin/330 mg Bromelain 2 times per day on an empty stomach) for three years now. I took a health magazine article where an allergy specialist suggested this dosage to my doctor who prefers alternative treatment. When used for seasonal issues, the allergy specialist recommended starting this dosage 4-6 weeks before the start of the allergy season and continuing through the season. In my case, I found that the longer I am on it, the more I can also tolerate or react less to my food sensitivities. This means that while I cant eat onion at all, I can now get by with some onion seasoning and can add a few chunks of onion to the bottom of a roast or in a stew/soup for flavor. As long as I control the amount added and dont actually ingest the onion, this seems to work, most of the time. Now I can eat garlic seasoning and small amounts of cooked garlic, which is such a relief as it adds so much flavor to things and while I miss my onion in cooking/eating, I was a much bigger fan of garlic. When I do have reactions to eating something Im sensitive to, I just take an extra 800mg dose of this about an hour after eating if I notice some reaction. I still get internal throat and ear itching sensations during allergy season. When that happens, I add a third 800mg dose of this daily for awhile and drink one or two packets of Emergen-C. If I have moderate/severe itching and drink a packet of Emergen-C, that seems to reduce the itching after about an hour, but that has only been true since I started taking Quercetin with Bromelain. I hadnt been bit by a spider for years and got bit a few months ago. As soon as I was bit, the area began tingling, hurting, turning red and swelling, but not as bad as before I took this product. In the past, Ive carried an Epi-pen, but I guess Ive been lazy and let that go, because it isnt often one gets bit by a spider unless it is an occupational or hobby hazard. Anyway, I was bit on the web of my finger, Normally the reaction would be for my entire hand to swell, turn red and hurt and it would take a week of Benadryl capsules for it to resolve back to normal. The reaction this time was about 2 inches around the bite site. I applied Benadryl cream, and covered the site with a piece of tape to draw out the venom. After about 15 minutes, I decided that really wasnt helping, so I opened a charcoal capsule and made a paste with a few drops of water and applied it to the bite for a good half hour. With my much more limited reaction on the Quercetin/Bromelain, the charcoal paste application was able to do the trick. A few hours after the bite, there was absolutely no allergic reaction left. It was even hard to see where I had been bit...just a small red dot with a little skin puncture was detectable. Originally I took straight Quercetin capsules without Bromelain. However I know I have been using this brand with Bromelain for at least 1.5 years now and I do think the Bromelain makes a difference and since I am better on this than not, I can tell you that his brand is effective.

> 3 dayThis is one of those products I needed to find about 20 years ago, but finally found about a year ago! In the spring time, I have always had allergies plug up my sinuses, leaving me unable to breath well, unable to smell anything, and sounding like I have a perpetual cold. When taking this Quercetin w/Bromelain in addition to allergy Meds., I get far less inflammation of my sinuses (and adenoids?), allowing me to breath through my nose again. I imagined that this miracle supplement should be taken for help during the fall (mold allergies) allergy season, but that proved to worsen the sinus dryness and pain, reminding me that sinuses drain to keep your nose moist inside, and to flush out little foreign particles that shouldnt be there. If I force the sinuses open, things can get in that will only cause unwanted infection! The moral: Its great stuff for opening up your sinuses during the right times, but like anything else, can be misused if not considered wisely.

> 3 dayRecently started taking but I can honestly say the pain from my stage IV osteomalacia has lessened. Now I do take this supplement with collagen (see other reviews) and Boron. The capsules are not difficult to swallow but I do take them with food. I’d you looking for non narcotic pain relief this would be something you’d want to use. Glad I found it. I’ll continue to write more on it later after I’ve taken it for several months but right now 2-3 weeks in all is well and pain has decreased.

17-11-2024I’ve been taking these as directed to help with my allergies and inflammation for nearly two months now. I heard positive things about quercetin, and this supplement was rated highly based on reviews. I cannot say for sure that there is not an effect, but I still need to make sure to take my allergy medicines (Benadryl and Claritin daily), and I still get hives. I don’t feel less itchy, either. I cannot say for certain whether this product has quercetin in it, since supplements are not regulated by the government, so it could be this product rather than my lack of response. The data on quercetin seems pretty good, so I would expect at least some results with the amount the tub suggests per day. Positive things, though: capsules are vegan, so no gelatin taste or gi upset from that! Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be any artificial colors to the tabs, which is great for preventing for allergic responses! I may keep taking this, at least until my tub is done, and see if I notice anything if I stop! I’ll update if there is anything else significant to add!

> 3 dayMy dog has seasonal allergies that have gotten progressively worse each year since we moved to this new state. This year, Benadryl at the highest allowed dosage wasnt making a dent, so we decided to try going with a more natural treatment plan to see if that would work. Our dog is around 55 lbs, and we were advised to start with one pill of Quercetin with Bromelain in the morning and one pill in the evening about 20 minutes or so prior to his morning/evening meal. If he had any issues, we could give at meal time instead. While he never had an issue taking the Benadryl pills with peanut butter, these were a little on the large size, so I decided to open them up and mix the powder with roughly 1 Tbsp of applesauce. He loved it as saw it as a treat. I gave him this then immediately fed him his regular meal. For the first two days, he took the double dose and then 1 Benadryl pill at night. By the third day, we were able to completely stop the Benadryl. Within a week, he was back to his normal, happy self. At that point, I dropped him down to only 1 pill a day, and its been working great since then. At the same time that I added this to his diet, I started giving him 1 Tbsp of coconut oil a day. Hes loving his new medicine. Obviously, each dog is different and this is not medical advice. Its just what worked for us. I went with the NOW brand because I was familiar with the company and had used their products in the past.

> 3 dayI started taking this product to find respiratory relief that my prescribed meds of albuterol and singulair were managing poorly. I had struggled daily for over a year with asthma symptoms, which severely affected my ability to get a good nights sleep and perform daily activities. Saw a post on twitter of someone recommending this product and so began my reading/research about quercetin and bromelain and thought Id give it a try- had nothing to lose- and I was desperate to find some relief from symptoms. Im ecstatic with the results. First dose I took before bedtime and when I woke the next day, I could breathe so much better!! I didnt expect it to work so fast or honestly so well. It definitely reduces inflammation in the airways. I can feel the difference. This has replaced my prescribed meds. I would highly recommend anyone having breathing issues to give it a try. I take the dosage recommended on the bottle: 2 pills twice daily. Also of note, I take this on an empty stomach.
