I have other Netgear stuff and generally trust it as a good choice in my home, which is also my office and which is spread out over two stories and a fair bit of distance, so I decided to give this a try.

I works perfectly for our needs. Nothing negative to say.

Excellent gadgets

I purchased this switch and installed it in August 2021. Its on a simple home network so I didnt need anything complicated. It worked great at first, but ports have slowly been failing. Within the first few months, 2 ports failed. Since then, 2 more have failed and at least 1 is only working at 100 Mbps rather than 1000 Mbps. Im now out of spare ports and will soon have to buy another switch.

It worked for a few days, and then decided to quit on me. Lights remained active, but wouldn’t pass any network traffic. Pay the extra few bucks and buy the NETGEAR GS108 switch. It has a lifetime warranty. This model has a limited warranty. I called their support and had to mail it in ($10 for shipping). They’re supposed to be mailing me a replacement. I went ahead and also bought a GS108 for piece of mind.

Great product--worked great to add ports to my Nighthawk router to accommodate some added non-wifi devices. Simple to use, solid performance.

Great for multiple users.
