Glad i bought the 16 port router. Wasnt sure if i would need all the ports but used them all! Plug and play not one issue. AAAAA++++

Good fast network switch for home use.

Simple to install

I purchased this multi port switch to replace a failing switch from another brand. This switch works great! I took me all of 5 minutes to replace the old unit with this one, plug in all the cables and configure it. Quite satisfied with my purchase.

This product requires no thought. You plug your internet cable into one port and it splits it into 8. My only concern is that i think my internet is slower on the other end... I though hard wiring would ensure faster internet than wi-fi but that doesnt seem to be the case. The three computers I have connected to this device seem to work much slower than my laptops connection which is connected via wifi to the router...

It works well. I have it plugged into the back of the gateway where there are only 2 ethernet ports. It improves internet stability. My house has wifi obstacles. Running ethernet cable from this is much better than struggling with weak wifi connections.

I used this when my wife needed to start working from home. We had only a single wired ethernet jack where her Office was to be setup. While I didnt really need 8 ports, the cost difference between the 5 port and 8 port switch was so little that there was no reason to not get the 8 port version. That will future proof us for a while, too. The switch itself is small, metal cased and wall mountable. I highly recommend this Netgear switch. I know it will work as good for you as it has for us. Love the feel of the solid metal housing. I feel confident I can drop it or have something drop on the switch and it will still be fine. Works fantastic.
