    UPDATE: This belt had zero effect on my SPD. After a day of wearing it, I couldnt wait to take it off. I actually took it off while driving because I had had enough of being so uncomfortable. Maybe it works for others, but did nothing for me but cause additional discomfort (and left a bruise on my hip). ********** Let me preface this by stating that I dont have the typical pregnant body. I was overweight prior to getting pregnant and I dont have that nice, round bump that extends from your pelvis up to your rib cage. So, the way this fits me is much different than any of the product examples or customer photos. I have had this for less than 24 hours and may update my review the longer Ive had it. These are my initial findings: 1. Before you attempt to put it on, be aware that the velcro is VERY strong. This means that if you get it stuck to clothing or parts of the belt that it is not meant to be stuck to, you will have to use force to remove it and it will leave a permanent mark. So I recommend putting on before any item of clothing you care about. When taking it off for the day, make sure you attach all velcro pieces to prevent them from sticking to other things. 2. I recommend wearing over a tight piece of clothing, such as a cami. Perhaps it is just my belt, but I have a few little plastic bits that stick out on the sides that rub against my skin and it is a bit painful. 3. You may want to put it on in front of a mirror, especially the first time you are putting it on. 4. Be aware that you will need to adjust the belt based on your activity (sitting vs. standing, etc.). I did see someone ask a question about whether or belt folds during use--if you have a typical prego body, it probably doesnt. With my body, the section that goes down, around your belly, does. It isnt bothersome, though, and only happens when Im sitting (which is most of my day, as I have a desk job). So far, I havent had the back portion fold--there are sturdy, vertical strips (plastic or some other material) in the back that prevent it from rolling. 5. You may have to adjust it when using the restroom. 6. If you are wearing fitted clothing, it will definitely be visible under your clothes. 7. These belts will work for plus-sized women. I was worried about fit, so I ordered the largest one (Im 57 and weigh 288 at 18 weeks pregnant) and it fits fine. Tons of room to make it smaller if I needed to. So I recommend measuring your belly and going with the size the product description recommends. If in doubt, order 1 size up, as you most certainly have the ability to make it much smaller. 8. I believe I have SPD, which is the main reason I bought this belt. So far, I havent noticed a big difference. I put it on when I got home from work last night and wore it to my sons soccer practice and then took it off when we got home (so, I wore it for about 3 hours). It seemed as though the pain related to walking had slightly improved; however, Im back to work today, wearing it and Im not noticing much of a difference. It is still somewhat painful sitting and getting up to walk every so often; however, this might not be the case for all people. For others, this may make a big difference, so I cant say how this will work for you with relation to SPD. I think that is all I have for now, but will update as time goes on. :) Hope this is helpful.

    I had back and pelvic pain. It was starting to get so bad, I could hardly walk from the bedroom to the bathroom. I was so hesitant to try another pregnancy belt because the last one I had with my first pregnancy made my back hurt worse. But I was desperate for relief and heard good things about this one. Im back on my feet and Im no longer in pain. I cannot thank the sellers enough, God bless!

    I got this once I started getting a bigger belly, about 5 months. I needed more back support. I was all belly. It made it easier to go to work. I’m an RN in the ICU so this helped me stay comfortable at work. I ended up wearing it all the time. I definitely recommend wearing it over a tank top then whatever top over it.

    This band definitely takes the strain off my eight-months-pregnant belly, which is great. *However,* I wish that it had some light plastic vertical reinforcement where the ribbing is around the back, because as soon as I start moving around, the top wants to roll down. It gets annoying having to stop every few steps and readjust. I’ve tried loosening and tightening it, but that doesn’t make any difference. The back braces from home improvement stores have the plastic supports built in, but they aren’t great for wrapping *under* the belly. When I saw the vertical bands on the photos of this, I was hoping they were stiff enough to prevent the rolling issue in the back while still actually supporting the belly in the front. Could be a five star product if the structure were improved.

    Really great product for what it does. But the velcro and the stitching is not durable. After continued use the velcro does adhere very well. And the stitching is coming apart.

    Is comfortable, has great support as you grow, and hides well under clothing.

    I bought something similar 7 years ago for my first pregnancy and I remembered how much it helped with my back pain from being on my feet all day at work. When I found this one the back piece was taller, and the padded piece under my belly was wider! It definitely gave more support! I was hoping to be able to wear it directly on my skin, but my skin is just to sensitive, so I wear it over an undershirt/tank top. The velcro is smooth and not scratchy at all, I just seem to have a problem with the seams. If you go by you measurement the sizing is perfect. Just remember if you buy it in your second trimester, make sure to leave plenty of room to grow.

How to choose the right size?

For this maternity girdle we recommend you to measure the circumference of your belly (from the lower back to the bottom of your belly which is around the area where the belt will be worn) and choose a belt according to the belt sizes in the description in the lower range of your measurement in order to plan for belly growth.

S: 33-40" / 85-102cm belly circumference;

M: 38-44" / 97-112cm belly circumference;

L: 42-49" / 107-125cm belly circumference;

XL: 46-54" / 116-137cm belly circumference;

XXL: 52-60.5" / 131-154cm belly circumference.

Customizable two-sided hooks and loops band!

Double-sided hooks and loops band!

The "hooks" side will stick to the abdominal pad and the "loops" side will receive the "hooks" side of the back support for more adhesion (see step 3 of instructions below)

Measure belly growth!

When you initially wear the belt, keep only the length of hooks and loops band that you need for adhering the back support to the abdominal pad (see step 2 of instructions below). When belly grows you will gradually stick the hooks and loops fabric more to the side of the abdominal pad, then you can cut the hooks and loops band that sticks out once again. The length that you cut equal the amount of belly growth!

Comfortable abdominal pad!

It is important for the abdominal pad to be as comfortable as possible.

It is positioned a little above the pubic area under your belly and while walking it will move a little and rub on your belly.

We understand this and have chosen a fabric that is cushioned, resistant and provides the best level of comfort!

This product is designed for walking or standing position. When sitting, we recommend to detach the hooks and loops fabric for more comfort

Breathable fabric!

The fabric is constructed of a multi-layered laminate with an ELASTIC lining combining breathability, elasticity and comfort!

The level of comfort of the back support is as important as the abdominal pad as it might rub on your back while walking/moving and will get hot and wet if not breathable.

The NeoTech Care maternity belt is highly breathable, comfortable and also provides the elasticity needed to hug your body"s shape perfectly and give proper support for your lower back!

Instructions (for video look in product pictures section)

  1. Center the abdominal pad under your abdomen and attach with hooks and loops fabric with the desired level of support.
  2. Cut the hooks and loops band that is labelled "Cut the extra hooks and loops band you don"t need" to keep a length that matches the border of the abdominal pad . The hooks and loops band should cover the abdominal pad but not more. As the belly grows and position of the hooks and loops fabric on abdominal pad changes, you might want to cut the hooks and loops band again (more explanations below).
  3. Attach the hooks and loops fabric of the back support to the location on the abdominal pad that provides the desired tension.
  4. To help keep the support in place and keep from sliding down, stretch the top strap over your stomach and attach both sides to the hooks and loops fabric on the back support
