> 3 dayI have a 2013 Ford Explorer with leather seats, this protector works great! I was worried about what a car seat might do to, well... my cars seat, but this seat protector is just what I needed. As Ive said, we have leather. It has been pretty hot here, got into the 90s already this month and I am convinced that this protector will not stick to my leather. The baby seat fits snug with this protector under it, no sliding at all. I especially like that even with the baby seat removed this protector can stay in place and someone can sit in that seat (I flipped up the seat part and sat with it behind my back. My nephew sat right on the protector and didnt complain.) You can easily buckle the seat belt with this in place even without a baby seat. Overall, it does exactly what I need it to do, it protects my leather seats, and its not in the way when the baby seat isnt in the car. I have nothing negative to say, its great.

> 3 dayI just finished moving around car seats in our cars. This seat protector had been under my now 3 year olds seat for a year. There was a sticky residue (spilled lemonade) pooled up against the back ridge of the seat along with various crumbs all over. When I removed the seat protector there was not a drop of liquid or a crumb on the actual seat itself. I took the mat to my sink and rinsed it with the sprayer and a dab of soap. Everything came clean good as new with minimal effort. While I was spraying I noticed that none of the water went through to the bottom of the protector - it truly seals out liquid. I will buy this to go under every car seat I have and also for grandparents cars. I am extremely happy with this seat protector.

Greater than one weekThis is a nice protector. Its pliable enough that it conforms to the seat for the baby seat can fit snugly, but sturdy enough that I dont think the baby seat will leave marks in my leather car seats. A lot of people are complaining about the straps not being big enough to go around the headrests. 2 things. First, if you are using this with a forward facing seat this is not a big deal whatsoever. The car seat will hold the back of the BRICA in place firmly. There is no need to strap it in behind the headrest. Second, if you really need the straps and need to lengthen them you can easily find clips that will fit the BRICA ones and an extension strap in any outdoor/hiking store. They are a standard size clip. UPDATE AFTER MONTHS OF USE After a few months of regular use this is holding up very well. The BRICA still looks brand new. My car is well protected from the seat. I continue to be very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to others. I recently took the car seat out to clean it and the Brica looks brand new. The leather seats in my car show no signs of indentations, stains, crumbs, or anything else. This product has proved to be well worth every penny and is highly recommended.

> 3 dayI got these seat protectors two years ago, before my son was born, and just bought more for the baby on the way. Theyve held up perfectly - through water spills and snackage, plus all the grimy baby/toddler things that just end up underneath a car seat. We recently removed the cover and the seat underneath (leather) was perfectly fine although the cover was kind of gross. Plus, they dont wrinkle weirdly when installing the car seat like some other brands and dont look terrible, either. If youre wondering if you need a cover at all, the answer is yes - no argument. Even if you dont allow snacks in your car, these will protect your seats from muddy shoes, potty accidents, grimy toddler hands, you name it. Just buy it and move on with your life!

Greater than one weekThe problem with car seats and leather surfaces is due to indentations that the plastic angles of the car-seat make in leather, stretching the seat cover and sometimes even scratching the leather. Took >2 month on my leased car to get back into original shape after just a year install time, so I got worried. I first bought Diono Grip It protector, and although it is sticking to leather well and protects against the scratches, the indentations were still there. So I decided to try this protector, and wasnt disappointed: although BRICA is more expensive than DIONO, it is well worth it. First, the material is really heavy: it is a hard surface, barely bendable, and when you apply angular pressure from one side with sharp object, you dont get the indentation through (DIONO is soft surface, and the plastic presses through it). Second, it is very wide, hence all sizes of seats will fit well. Finally, the blue rubber on the bottom does provide some sliding protection, but not great. No idea if it will stick to leather or make color smudges, - will update my review if it does Note: people complain that these protectors are not safe, because with them the seat may slide sideways during crash. My experience is that you need to tighten the child seat to the actual car seats anchors with a lot of force. In this case it does not matter if these is a protector between these - it wont move. This is really why the soft protectors like DIONO, or no protectors at all, make damage to leather surfaces, but it is how the car seats must be used for safety reasons. After seeing how well this protector is made and the effect compared to DIONO, I bought another for my 2nd car. I definitely recommend this product to protect your leather seats Update (2/11/2014): I am extremely satisfied with this protector. No color bleed from blue stripes, they do provide good anti-sliding effect, and there are no indentations on leather surfaces on either of my cars. This product rocks!

Greater than one weekThese are my favorite seat protector and theyre cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else Ive found them. I have a 6 year old and 3 year old so for me, seat protectors are a must. We have one under my 6 year old but now that my toddler is potty training, we decided it was time to get another. Between accident, carsickness and the endless snack crumbs that my kids spill, these have kept my cars backseat leather from getting ruined. I like that they cover the whole seat instead of just under the carseat, that theyre stiff but flexible, and have the rubber bottoms to keep from slipping on my leather. Theres even a little pocket on the bottom for some storage, although my kids cants reach yet. They dont completely prevent denting in the leather but Id rather that than stains, gunk and possible tearing from the carseat bases. These clean very easily too- I use a wide grout brush to get into the grooves, vaccuum or shake put and a quick spray of carpet cleaner a few times a year. Seems a small investment to save half of your car from total destruction.

> 3 dayWhile it does the primary job I was looking for--protecting my leather seats from indentations--it is barely big enough to hold the car seats which are safety first brand convertible car seats. The base of the car seats are sitting on top of the ridge on the outside of the pads which means they will not be able to collect any crumbs that happen to fall down. I wasnt planning on allowing food in the car anyway but this seals the deal to not allow any. Our previous car had tons of crumbs fall around the car seats and I dont want that to happen with the new car. It is too bad it wasnt quite big enough for us for that purpose, but I do not regret the purchase at all. It was the best protector we could find that we wouldnt have to risk stains from the protector or not be heavy duty enough to prevent indentations.

> 3 dayWe have purchased five of these car seat protector over the years. First, my husband bought one for his car, as he has leather seats. It worked so well, that he bought another one for his car for our other child. Then, he eventually replaced all of our car seat protectors in my minivan with the Brica Seat Guardian Car Seat Protector. These car seat protectors have rubber strips the prevent the car seat from slipping during quick stops (we live in the country and have had to brake for deer multiple times). Other car seat protectors have allowed fluids to drip down onto the seats, mostly where the belt or latch connects to the seats. Not these ones, there is a lip that prevents any fluids from dripping down onto the seat itself. These car seat protectors are easy to clean up and easy to install, and have lasted several years with our children growing up. We have used these car seat protectors with bothe the LATCH system and with the lapbelt. This works with booster seats as well as now our oldest has graduated from a car seat to a booster seat. I like that there is a lower flap that protects the seat from snowy and muddy shoes. These car seat protectors seem to be waterproof as there have been little puddles from drinks that I have had to clean up rather than soaking through or leaking through to the seat itself. All of our car seats fit onto these car seat protectors with the exception of our latest (and by far largest) baby car seat. The base of this one just rests ontop of the lip of the car seat protector. After securing the car seat properly, there is no movement or tilt to the car seat (just the lip of the car seat protector is now compressed down in that area). We will never purchase another car seat protector again after previously purchasing three different brands, which all had great reviews. With our kids through hockey practices, picnics, multiple long distance trips of 11-20 hours each to Disney World and family living out of state, these protectors have held up and surpassed all of our expectations!
