LOVE this device! The touchscreen is huge, and the way the device is designed and the way it *feels* is exquisite. Love it.

So far, a great laptop. No problems. Just the delivery was a bit late.

The wifi keeps disconnecting. Support cant help. They just update and reinstall drivers and update windows and do some stupid diagnostic test which tests everything but the wifi. But the wifi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Its so annoying. Too bad Im passed the 30 day, now i cant return it. Gonna have to sell it on ebay and take a big loss.

Just got my Surface Laptop 3 in platinum finish, 15 inches - it works great, superb sharp color screen, seems to be improved keyboard, perfect touch - I bought this because my previous XPS died when the battery overheated and expanded, killing the XPS. I have a Surface Pro 3 which I used as a backup and portable when I needed mobility.

Not a surface 3. They sent the original 2017 model.

I got the base model of the laptop and I am blown away by it. Excellent quality and very fast. It even has an easily replaceable ssd if you want more storage!

I am a Mac user. But, I was having a terrible time using Microsoft word on my Mac. It was impossible. So, I was forced to purchase an additional laptop in order to complete a massive writing project. Microsoft Surface Laptop is so easy to use. I havent even gotten all the accessories yet, and I absolutely love it. It has features of an iPad with the flexibility of a laptop. It is lightweight and very user friendly. I might very well become a windows user after all.

It’s a new machine and it’s not working

Its been 5 months I have been using this surface laptop. All good. Until recently, a weird issue surfaced. So this laptop unlike others out there doesnt come with a Power Button, instead its put together in the keyboard as a Power Key. That felt convenient and unique to use in the initial days. Now comes the problem.

The privacy on this device is that of an Alexa. There is no camera kill switch and there is no microphone kill switch. When you go into the drivers and disable and restart the microphone still continues to work. When you insert a headset with a microphone the device continues to pick up ALL sound even when switched to audio input through headset only. The screen is of good quality and the touch screen is of good quality. I would say it was superior until I purchased a laptop $400 dollars cheaper and realized microsoft is not ahead of the game in any way shape or form with this laptop. In fact they are midrange on all accounts. However, the inability to have control over my devices makes them zero stars regardless of how fancy they are. Also the battery life isnt anything to write home about. And youtubers lied, the fans are noisy, and the computer hot, when you try and have several tabs open and word.
