Greater than one weekI got this computer because I was desperate before the pandemic shut us down. Looked good in terms of screen, memory, and all that jazz. After purchase, I got some unpleasant surprises. It has ONE USB port. Even better that its on the left side of the computer. So, if you NEED to use a mouse for editing, or other reasons ... youve got trouble. Im right handed and I have to move the stupid thing around to get the mouse to work. Even worse, I need to save my work on a memory stick often. Cant run a mouse and a memory stick. So you need a hub. WHAT a hassle! Never ever will I buy a Microsoft product again. Anything I buy will need more than ONE USB port. What a joke! Learn from my mistake!

> 3 dayI purchased this laptop just under a month ago. It seemed wonderful at first, but then sometimes when I plugged it in it would not charge. Then that more and more frequently happened over the course of the weeks of use. As I write this review now the charger will not charge the laptop. I cannot wipe my personal data from the laptop, because you need to be plugged in to do that. So I cant even return the device wiped. Tried updating the firmware drivers for the battery as instructed. No joy. Tried running their diagnostic tool, and that did not fix the issue. Shipping time for a replacement power supply, 7-14 business days. Faster to return to Amazon, and get a new one. But you loose all the time and effort you put in for setup and software installation. Extremely disappointed given that this is name brand hardware. Failure in less than a month of any component is not acceptable. Save your money, buy a Dell.

> 3 dayIts been 5 months I have been using this surface laptop. All good. Until recently, a weird issue surfaced. So this laptop unlike others out there doesnt come with a Power Button, instead its put together in the keyboard as a Power Key. That felt convenient and unique to use in the initial days. Now comes the problem.

> 3 dayTo what extent is a company obligated to provide high quality products, even those not explicitly under warranty? After 6 months of general use (taking it in and out of my backpack, placing it on the coffee table, typing, etc.) the screen cracked. The location of the crack and lack of physical damage elsewhere on the computer (the frame isnt bent or scratch) prove the computer was not dropped or mishandled in any way. The screen was made of glass incapable of withstanding general use, and Microsoft is unwilling to replace a defective product because of the type of malfunction it had. A screen crack, regardless of how it occurred, is not a type of breakage their warranty covers, yet they made a screen of a material so fragile it can crack under the lightest of strain.

Greater than one weekI upgraded from the surface pro 3 to surface laptop 3 and Im in dreamland having used this laptop for a week now. It came a day before the delivery date, in the original box, and the performance and overall build quality are excellent. I was indecisive about whether to buy the surface laptop 3 or the M1 MacBook Air. But holding this laptop in my hand, I made the right decision. Excellent product!!

> 3 dayIt dropped its price within one month and I couldn’t price match and the package wasn’t the original Microsoft package. I worried about that the laptop wasn’t a brand new one.
