This is a great product. I have 2 of the large sized ones that my 3 pets share- 13 pound dog, 10 pound cat and 16 pound cat. I originally got it for my dogs bed since her old electric blanket stopped working. She loved it, but she kept finding her bed occupied by kitties. So I got a second one. They all take turns sharing the beds and love them. At first they were apprehensive about using them. Im guessing this was due to the factory smell and because they are slightly stiff. All it took was one or two times of placing them on the mat for them to realize the heat. Thats all it took for them to fall in love. My pets arent chewers, but I like the durable cord cover as added protection, just in case of chewing. If they were chewers, I would probably want to supervise their use until I was comfortable with the risk. The cover is removable so it can be washed as needed. The temperature level is as promised, just warm enough to keep the pets feeling cozy on a cold day, but not so warm that they become overheated. My dog used to pant once in awhile with her old electric blanket, which would prompt me to turn down the heat. Ive had this product for a few months now and havent seen her pant once. Great product, I have recommended to family and friends. And I recommend it to anyone else who is looking for a high quality, safe warming pet mat. The only suggestion for improvement that I would make is for the company to find a way to make the mat more flexible and soft. But honestly, my pets love it anyway and the stiffness probably helps the mat stay flat instead of getting bunched up in a ball like a blanket. So maybe the product really is perfect as-is after all. I wish it had an on/off control so it wouldnt need to be unplugged each time to turn off. However, to turn it on all that is needed is to plug it in. After I plugged it in the first time, I liked it very much. The pad maintains an even just-right warmth for my kitties and the cord is chew-safe. To turn it off, just unplug. It is a good, safe, dependable pet warmer, and my animals like it.

Works great, the cat loves it and its helping her stay warm on these cold nights.

This product has been perfect for my 17 year old chihuahua. Previously I was letting him sleep on a regular heating pad during the day where I could watch him, but he would be cold at night. Finding this has made a huge difference for him. He sleeps warm and I feel comfortable using it.

The pad gets too warm after a while for the cat or dog. I would pay extra for a temperature control. The pad is thin without much cushion. I did get a second one to put in a outside chair under our deck for the cat.

We love our sweet bun, and she loves spicy hay. The selling point for this was the pre-installed protective cord; despite arranging it out of reach, she was able to finagle it into reach, and took two bites before I reached her. We’ll add our own exterior protectant, but the interior section remained unscuffed. The cord is worth the assurance and stands up to nibblers.

As we headed into Winter I wanted to make sure kitty had a warm place to be. Little did I know this would be her most favorite thing! She lies on it all day & probably would all night too if I left it on. The only unusual thing is it said you can control the temperature but I don’t see any place to do that. But despite that I still felt like it deserved 5 stars.

I put this in a basket cat bed near my desk. Our cat immediately took to it. I wish the covering was more padded. I use an extra blanket over it to soften the area.
