> 3 dayThe monitor is great but there is a problem and Im wishing to get a reply from LG on this issue. So I need help. The HDR has the problem of slightly changing brightness while watching a movie on PC or playing a PS4 pro game in HDR, even when Smart Energy Saving is set to off(which is actually grayed out when in HDR mode) So I set it to off when in SDR mode, then I hop into HDR mode again and the option looks to be still off but it is grayed out(As if the HDR is not even considering that option when it is in use). So What exactly is this?. Is this Normal LG?

> 3 dayThis is a beautiful display at a decent price. Not great, not terrible. It matches my 27 iMac quite well in terms of color and brightness. Its not perfect, but its close. The antiglare surface is also nice for smoothing out bright spots behind you. There are myriad ways to connect to the monitor from your computer, I used the display port and it works well. It connects easily enough to my desks VESA display mount, but I wish there was some way to adjust the vertical alignment. I believe that part is more something I will need to do with the hardware I have. My biggest problem with this monitor is the lack of direct physical controls on the device. Everything is done through the on screen menu. And, as of the time of this review, there is no software for Mac to control the brightness of the monitor. So you only have the little nub in back, behind the LG logo to access all the settings (see photo). There is no automatic brightness adjustment so that when ambient light changes, the monitor changes the brightness of the screen. It takes 4 button actions just to get to the brightness setting. Once you are in the Brightness setting, there are 100 steps between the highest and lowest settings, which is overkill. 12-20 steps is plenty. My old display from ASUS had two buttons on the bottom of the monitor to control the brightness directly. It has a super thin bezel around the top and sides; about 0.25. The bottom is about 0.75. As a secondary 4K display this is a nice choice, just be aware of the little things that can make your experience less enjoyable.

> 3 dayI received this monitor and connected to my M1 with ease. It immediately recognized the MacBook. Its mac ready! The colors for Monterey are alike and I didnt see any difference. I am a photographer so this is important. Buy it. Its a great monitor at a great price. I got the 27 as there are more pixels than the 32, so better for LR and PS.

Greater than one weekI have a Apple Mini and was using a old Samsung monitor. I hooked this up and wow, what a difference! This thing is bright, crisp and a good size. I love Apple products, but couldn’t justify buying their expensive monitor.

> 3 dayThis is used with a Mac Studio. It is incredible quality and worked out of the box with no issues. 100% worth the price.

> 3 dayFor the $$, I cant imagine a better monitor. No hiccups at all. For keyboard brightness controls, you can find a few apps to accomplish that. I wish it had automatic brightness control, but OK. The curved stand base is stylish, but awkward on your desk.

> 3 dayLike a lot of people, I was trying to find the perfect 4k monitor with USB-C capability to have a display for my MacBook Air M1. This monitor is great because not only is the text sharp but it also charges your MacBook. This is easy to use and worked straight out of the box.

> 3 dayHave been using this for a few months now for my M1 MacBook Pro. This works great and has the benefit of being able to connect to the MacBook using a single, USB-C cable. Pros: - the picture is nice and clear - works flawlessly on M1 MBP - IPS Cons: - Wish the refresh rate were higher than 60hz - Wish you could daisy-chain these monitors together I feel the pros outweigh the cons. Love this monitor and would purchase it again for my WFH setup. Not recommended for gaming.

> 3 dayI bought two of these monitors: 1. The first one is to connect to a Chromebook for distance learning (via USB-C) and a Kano (via HDMI) for tinkering with code projects. The monitor works great and charges the Chromebook over the USB-C connection. The audio is adequate and is substantially better than the audio in the Chromebook. 2. The second one is to connect a MacBook Pro (via DisplayPort 1.2) for office productivity and watching 4K HDR content and a Dell Optiplex (via HDMI) for office productivity, gaming, and watching 4K HDR content. These monitors perform flawlessly in my two environments! I enjoy the flexibility of having USB-C, DisplayPort, and two HDMI ports to choose from for my inputs. Having these monitors with the built-in adjustable stands allows us to position everything ergonomically to prevent neck and eye strain. Ill update this review in the future after weve used these monitors for a few more months.

Greater than one weekI have two LG 27UN850-W 27 Inch Ultrafine UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Display with VESA Display HDR 400, USB Type-C monitors set up side by side. They take up a lot of real estate, both with the width of the monitors and with area consumed by both bases side by side on the desk. Takes up at least 8 inches from the stands vertical base to the tips of the semi-circular stand. Now imagine double occupancy for the dual monitors. So thats room you wont be able to fully utilize for other more desirable tasks. The monitors themselves seem to operate fine. Does have a pop-up window that appears ever so often that the cursor wont seem to engage the action button. Cursor disappears when trying to click on the window. But a main point that I want to stress is that you need to have a graphics card on your computer/source system thats adequate enough to push dual 3840 x 2160 displays if you want to take full advantage of the monitors capability.
