Great product. Doesn’t look like it was used, but box was opened before. Possible a return?

My Lasko helped me get through a very warm Washington summer. I have no air condition in my apartment and this kept it cool enough. I would open up all the windows at night and pushing aside the curtains. I had the fan running near the patio door to really push the cool air in. I also had a smaller fan in the bedroom. Once it started warming up a bit the next morning, I closed everything up and kept the fan running on high. It must have worked because one Monday I had a crew of 4 electricians come through my apartment checking all the circuits and they noted my place was a lot more comfortable than the others. But I want to clarify that it was still warmish because this is NOT an A/C and if a fan is pushing warm air, you are still going to get warmish air that has been cooled somewhat by the circulation. But it did its job by keeping a breeze going and circulating the air so I wasnt sweltering. Is it noisy? Yes. Naturally, as you lower the speed, the less noise it makes, but it does make some noise. It didnt really bother me because I can tune it out while reading a book or am working on my laptop. I just view it as white noise. Quality is a tad less than what I would except for $51, with the case being a bit flimsy, but it handled being knocked over twice by the dog (onto the concrete patio floor) so it is strong enough to deal with a few blows . Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Lasko. Update June 2018: I still have this fan and it has withstood 24/7 running during the summer months for the past two+ years (where temps have reached into the mid 90’s) and we are looking at the same for this summer. The noise has faded into the background and I consider it white noise now. It has never overheated and outside of needing a good cleaning, has held together extremely well. It is currently sitting next to the open patio door pushing some of the cooler late afternoon air into the apartment. Tonight I will move it into the bedroom and place next to an open window for a cooler sleep. Again, it won’t replace an a/c, but until I can afford one this has helped keep me comfortable.

My family and I own a lot of fans, from commercial fans to 1hp carpet blowers. We also own several of these Lasko Wind Machines. I like them for several reasons. 1. Quality for the price. Normally I can purchase this model (one of the 3300 series) locally for about $40. $50 isnt a bad price to get it delivered to an elderly parents front door. Quality meaning: they work and continue to work well for many years with little maintenance. 2. Powerful for the price, construction and weight. Its a 10-pound fan that pushes as much cfm as many of my much higher priced metal commercial models that cost at least 2-3x as much. 3. I feel theyre safe. As long as I keep the air-intake free of dust, they never run hot. I have left these running continuously for months without any issues. Every time I vacuum, I clean the fan. I use the large dust brush on the outside and a crevice dusting brush to reach inside. Once a year, I remove the back and give it a good cleaning. Takes a small amount of time. Lasko does not publish the CFM for many (if any) of their fans. Ive seen several responses to the question on different websites about the CFM of the 3300 and they vary. Presently, I am attempting to get Amazon to contact Lasko for the info. ========== Just beware, Lasko customer service is basically non-existent. Over the last few days, I called 1-800-233-0268 six times. My shortest wait time was 24 minutes, my longest wait was 52 minutes. They have not replied to my email placed on their contact page. I had a similar experience in July of 2013 after purchasing a couple of their 4900 fans. Their fans are great but if you have an issue, make sure you return the fan to Amazon before the 30 day return period ends.

I wasn’t expecting the fan to be very huge, but it has a very nice air flow, lots of air. It’s so much better than my old ones, it beats it! Arrived had some scratches but worth it! A great fan to have around the house.

Amazon listed this package to be delivered a week late. It came on time within two days. The fan was already assembled in box. Ive fought dozens of these over the years and theres always some assembly. I think I got a used fan here. It works fine. Its clean. I thought it would be louder though, and I use it for white noise for sleep. Kinda disappointed it isnt very loud.

I have heat intolerance and am unable to sleep at night without a fan on, especially since the central air in our home does not go below 70°F. I have been through dozens of fans, and many different types; from stand up oscillating fans to table fans to box fans and window fans, too. This fan BLOWS!! And I mean that as a compliment. It far exceeds in strength, durability, and convenience than many comparable types and brands, even those 2-3 times its price range. I LOVE this fan! Time will tell how it holds up with 3 destructive children 3 years and up(theyre all good kids but they are kids, lol.) Cons- Could be 3 taller. An elevated bed means you will probably need something to sit in on if you need it to blow directly towards you when you are sleeping. Unless only you require a fan and you are an edge of the bed sleeper. Pros- built DURABLE. Thick plastic housing. A MUST have for parents of small children. Fan blades set deep inside, hard for little fingers to get in the spaces in the cover. Very powerful on high, with great circulation:can cool an entire medium room no problem. Quiet in relativity to its strength; I would prefer it slightly louder for white noise. Easy to carry; lightweight. Indoor/outdoor versatile. I highly recommend this product. I am looking to purchase another one prior to summer to cool another bedroom. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

This is a fairly quiet fan, light weight and easy to move around. I have had high-velocity fans before that will blow more air than this one but they were loud. This one is all plastic and with a nice big handle. It is powerful enough for me. It can blow a paper plate off a table from 15 feet away at medium speed. I rarely turn it on the highest speed. At that speed, you can feel the air from two rooms over. I use it to move the air from the air conditioned dining room to the next room over. It is simple to operate and simple in its design. The fan speed knob is large and round and easy to turn and its located exactly where it should be, right in the back in the center of the fan. The fan at its highest speed stays in-place, meaning it does not vibrate and walk across the floor. Ive been running it all day long for several weeks without a problem. It does a good job and Im glad I bought it.
