Greater than one weekIve been using this fan for about 2.75 years now. I run it every night in the bedroom to keep air from getting stale, and to create some background white noise. The fan itself is capable of moving extreme amounts of air. Moving that air creates noise - which is incidentally perfect for white noise at night. During the summer I had this in the office to help cool me down. Ill admit, it is loud. But I still love this thing a ton. Its very sturdy. Even after constant use it hasnt gotten loose or worn down. Its rattle-free after all this time, and a very smooth consistent work horse. It doesnt do the whole auto rotation side-to-side thing, but it does stay pushing at at the direction you point it. You can pivot it up and down, and it holds that position. Ive used it in the kitchen window after a botched burnt dinner. This thing is much lighter than youd expect for its size. Ive seriously considered getting a second one of these things. I actually do strongly recommend this fan. Mine has been solid quality, and I bet yours would be as well Update after 2.75 years (above review is 1.5 years in): The fan is still performing exactly as described above. I love this thing. The reason Im updating this is because Ive come back looking to buy a second.

> 3 dayI wanted a fan that would block out the noise from people partying late at night in my apartment complex and this fan accomplishes that perfectly. Very rarely have to use the 3rd speed as 2 is enough. The 1st speed will give you a nice semi-quiet breeze but it also blocks out people talking outside of my windows. The things you have to do to get some peace but Im so glad I bought this fan as it does everything I want it to do. Also, its very light and portable. You can put it almost anywhere.

> 3 dayI like the look, the quality and the air flow.. What I dont like is that the controls are in the middle on the back. Its minor, but its an inconvenience. It would be better if the controls were on the top where they are easily accessible

> 3 dayWe have been using the Lasko High Velocity Wind Machines for over a decade and we are just now starting to replace them. We have dried ice hockey and lacrosse equipment, kept dorm rooms and bedrooms cool and even use them on our dock to keep flies away from our lounge chairs as we relax. I cant recommend these fans enough and will continue to buy them as long as they are sold.

> 3 dayI like this fan because it has a variety of setting and it blows air well and can be easily moved up or down. Light weight for a fan its size. The down side it doesnt have a remote or timer. Overall I like it. I even like sleeping with it on.

> 3 dayAmazon listed this package to be delivered a week late. It came on time within two days. The fan was already assembled in box. Ive fought dozens of these over the years and theres always some assembly. I think I got a used fan here. It works fine. Its clean. I thought it would be louder though, and I use it for white noise for sleep. Kinda disappointed it isnt very loud.

> 3 dayAs stated this fan what not what I expected for the price. Tipsy, slightly unbalance blade when it is on, you can tell by the slight rattle sound coming from it, not rugged at all or heavy duty made. I purchased for my sister and not in a position of returning it hence she is stuck with it. Would NOT recommend this fan or would I accept it for half its cost..just not a quality product.

Greater than one weekThe air in our 1,000 sq ft apartment gets stale and I am not a fan of air conditioning. We have a/c but I prefer a fan to move the air. So I bought two of these fans. One for the living room and one for the bedroom where there is no a/c. The base of these fans is wide and sturdy. I have one fan in the living room on the floor where it can tilt up and move the air. It is handy for air drying clothes on an indoor umbrella clothes line when you cant put the clothes outdoors (like we cant) and dont want to scorch the clothes in the dryer. It moves the air around the clothes enough so they dry faster than without the fan and doesnt allow for a musty scent on humid days. The fan in the bedroom is sitting on top of an aquarium tank cover to save floor space and titled slightly downwards into the room. The cord to fan is adequate, neither too long nor too short. The control mechanism is in the back of the fan and it is easy to use. Just turn the knob. Fan blades are well protected from little hands and paws which was important with a curious cat around. I really like the power of these fans even at lowest setting. As far as noise, my hepa air filters are louder so I dont really notice if the sound is loud or not. My upstairs neighbors in the apartment are louder than anything we have in the house except for maybe the vacuum.
