I bought this heating pad for my rabbit. It works great.

Our bunny loves, loves, loves this pad. She has barely moved off of it since we put it in her cage. She only comes off it to come out of her cage, get water, or us litterpan. Its her new fave spot. It gets a nice cozy warm, not too hot at all just perfect. Cord is definitely chew proof. She normally chews on everything but the cord has no signs of being chewed. Seems very sturdy and thick.

To start off with, this heater seemed to be well made with an easy to clean surface. It had a good temperature, and my hedgehog LOVED to lay on it and warm her belly. However after two months of use I noticed Winnie (my hedgehog) was all balled up in the corner for some reason. After nudging her and getting no response I realized that the heater had shut off. So I promptly checked to make sure it was still plugged in and verified that the outlet was working by plugging in a lamp. Now for some animals a failure of a heater isn’t the end of the world, but when it comes to hedgehogs it’s literally life or death, right now I’m trying to get her back up to temperature and I really hope that she won’t die due to freezing all night long. For anyone who has similar pets and decides to go with this brand, I’d recommend buying two so you have a backup for when the first one burns out. Otherwise you’ll find yourself heating hot water bottles and waiting a week for a replacement heater to show up.

As advertised. Works well with our outdoor cat in an insulated cat box.

Excellent for any type of small animal. We have 2 one for our Degu, they have never been able to chew thru any part of it. I have a home sewn pillow case over it as well. The cord is sleel wrapped. Also excellent for our outdoor cat. We’ve tried to get and keep out cat indoors but he refuses unless it’s 20 degrees or colder, then he’s happy to come in and snuggle us. We have the cats heat pad inside an insulated cat tent also purchased and kept inside our garage. Likes are it’s safe and simple to clean. Ours are very hard plastic covered. Steel wrapped power cord. Heat is perfect temperature. Low power usage. But best of all our animals love them :) if their happy, we’re happy :) Best solution ever invented for small animals we worry about getting cold.

Being our first winter in WA I was concerned about our guinea pig London getting too cold, esp at night. After lots of research and reviews I decided to try this unit out. Guineas can overheat which was a major factor in my decision making, plus theyre constantly chewing things. When I took it out of the box I was concerned that it would be too uncomfortable for him since its a solid encased hard unit. It did take about a week for him to get used to it but now he fully sleeps on it at least of third of the time. Hes less puffed and seems very content. Its only been 3 weeks and everything is in good order. Ill be watching for any potential dangers as others noted in their reviews but as of now all is exactly as I hoped. It works well, adds enough but not too much heat and Londons comfy toasty instead of hot toasty or chilled

I got this for my small barn cat and she loved it when it got down to -11. She is acclimated to the cold and even at that temp she was out running around, but she loved this when she wasn’t stalking mice and it gave me peace of mind at night.
