Kaytee Clean & Cozy White Small Animal Bedding For Pet Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Gerbils, and Chinchillas

I love that my guinea pigs cage can last longer without smells with this bedding because this busy mom doesnt have time to change it every few days. I also like how well it expands. The only thing is I wish it wasnt white because although you cant smell it, you can see all the urine stains on it.

Hamster love this really soft and fluffy. No odor control so we mic with carefresh and it works great. Update: we have used this for almost 2 years, we mix half this Kaytee white and half carefresh. Carefresh has become impossible to find so we were using only Kaytee for about 3 months. It was ok although very dusty (no matter what they or anyone else says this stuff is dusty) and odor control is non existent with it. The last 4 bags we have gotten have grit in it. If you clean the cage it is like a layer of fine sand (think bathing sand which we don’t use) and turned to jello consistency when wet doing spot cleans. I posted a question about this and Kaytee contacted me and asked me to send to their lab saying it is not normal. We now use all natural which has no dust and no problems with grit. Not real good with odor control but only choice available at this point. Gotta say it really bothered us and the hamster with the grit situation. She would burrow and come up covered in dust and grit (she is black) and stopped burrowing that night. She sneezed and we completely changed the litter after a good washing. Once I get a response from Kaytee I will post it. Update: Kaytee got back to me, their manufacturer was using baby diapers as well as other questionable stuff and the grit at the bottom was actually small plastic beads. There have had deaths of pets and thanked us for sending it in. Our hamster was pretty sluggish for a week or so but with a different litter seemed to come back ok. Cannot stress enough DONT BUY THIS. The natural is much better by Kaytee, no dust and no plastic. Please check the bottom of the cage if you are using this litter. If there is grit throw it out ASAP before it kills your pet. Please don’t think this is made up it is not.

I used this as my hamsters bedding before he passed away, and its the only bedding that I have tried that doesnt produce a lot of dust. It lasts quite a while and doesnt smell. It is also extremely soft, so its great for small pets that have sensitive skin.

The Clean and Cozy is a personal favorite, but the bedding its self is slightly dusty. My hamsters have never had a problem with it being a respiratory concern, but when I clean out my 100 gallon cage, there is a thin layer of dust on ALL of my surfaces. I like to take out all the bedding, clean the bottom, and then put all of the same bedding back in, since it isnt actually dirty. The bedding is super comfy and absorbent, and doesnt hold smell if you spot clean it frequently.

It looks nice and is comfy, BUT the smell is horrific. Straight smells like a zoo in my house when I use this for my guinea pigs. Aspen bedding is 100% the way to go.

I won’t buy any other bedding for my gerbils. It keeps the smell down to a minimum and the fact that it isn’t scented makes it nice and safe for my gerbils. It’s very easy to clean and lasts me quite a while. It really does double or triple its size from the packaging.

They must have read the other reviews and changed this product back to the original formula. I ordered it being pretty hesitant because I usually get carefresh bedding but its so dusty Im scared my hamster will get sick, so I got this bedding because it was recommended in a hamster group Im in. I was scared it would be papery and look like fake grass for Easter baskets, but I was pleasently surprised that after I froze it and opened it it was super soft, I will say, there are bits that are like tissue paper and do look like confetti, but it doesnt bother me because its mostly actual bedding. It has no smell at all, and so far from what I can see it isnt dusty. There are little specks of color, which Im assuming is just other bedding that accidentally got put in but I will be checking to make sure it isnt anything that could hurt my hamster. Needless to say, if its soft to me Im sure it will be soft to my little hanster.

This is what I use for my Guinea pigs all the time. Its soft, but doesnt have an excess of lint. Its absorbent, but as any paper, needs to be changed regularly. I think it works well for my purpose.

Amazon will rip you off, they send 2 items per box and charge you for 2 items but when and if you return the box the only credit your return as 1 item, this product was okay, I worried about how much it absorbs for small pets vs how much they urinate and it can be misleading, but they definetly seems to be cozy.
