Needed vermiculite for my snake to nest. Couldnt find her usual anywhere, had to get her something though. Found this. Our usual vermiculite was more like soil, but this is more like sand. Wasnt sure she was happy with it at first, took a bit longer than normal for her to get comfy, but in the end she laid her eggs so it musta been alright.

I started propagating my favorite indoor plants and was looking for a nice light material that wouldnt destroy the tender roots. Unlike the chunky vermiculite my mom always had, this is super light, but very fine like sand, and extremely absorbent. My beautifully rooted cutting is doing so well and looks almost as good as the mother plant. I am very pleased, and look forward to replanting all of my new plants successfully all summer long. I dont have any lizards, so I wont be using it for that purpose, but if my granddaughter ever needs it for her pets, Ill let her know its available.

My only complaint is that when I saw the bag it looked low on product. There were no holes in the bag. I 1 gal jug and filled it up to the 1 gal mark, then filled it up again. 4 quarts in a gal, times 2 = 8 quarts not 10. Maybe just in my math.

I used Josh’s Frogs vermiculite as a substrate in my breeder cricket tubs. I was quite pleased; the vermiculite was not dusty and more than enough for my needs. I spend a lot of time on Josh’s Frogs website dreaming of what I’d love to buy. They are a fine company and the product shipped very quickly and arrived in fine condition. Very pleased.
