HTC RE 16.0MP Waterproof Digital Camera (White)

Takes very clear wide angle 16mp pictures as well as video and slow-motion video. You just need to listen for the clicks and get used towhead needs to be pressed to obtain what picture recording you need. Great for underwater hangs from wrist easily so can be gotten to quickly, wish battery life was longer but thats it!

Still trying to figure it out. If you arent techy, the simple instructions to go to Google play isnt enough. My husband bought this and gave up. I havent had time to study and figure it out.

I purchased this camera October 2017 for a vacation in Hawaii. I used it the entire time. great pictures and video. I even imported into iMovie. easy to use, I loved it. brought the RE to Hawaii trip March 2018. charged it up. then nothing. tried to reboot, called customer service. no help. RE company does not offer repairs nor do they warranty their product. come on, it is only a few months old! note: I followed all recommendations re care. I even bought the extra protection accessories to keep port dry. stay away from companies that do not back up their products!

I took this little camera on a road trip to Utah and took some amazing pictures and videos. All the tourists were asking me how come I was taking selfies with an inhaler, lol. When I synced it to my phone I was able to get some good separation between my location and the RE before losing connectivity. Those 16 megapixels make for some very clear pictures. This camera is super easy to use and very portable. I dont know how rugged it is because Im very careful with it and have not dropped it. It does feel a little fragile so if youre notorious for being rough on your electronics this might not be the right choice. Almost forgot, that ultra-wide angle is no joke.

It arrived with its base cracked off. It must have received an impact it shipping. The packaging really makes the product look cool but the design of the packaging exacerbates stress rather than protecting against it. Ive ordered another one but Im going to put duct tape on it first thing (if it isnt DOA). A little thicker plastic and sounds like it would be really neat. Keeping my fingers crossed.

If there was a negative review rating it would be a -5. The manual does not cover any of the required information in the least. There is no information on how to change the date and time setting. The battery is the weakest I have ever seen. It last about 2 30 second recordings if not wired directly to a computer. The record button is next to impossible to tell when it is recording or not. I had thought about using this as a dashcam but I see it would not be of any use as that. My recommendation, dont waste your money.

So far so good. this camera is great. Super versatile, and feels natural in your hand. I dont have to worry about dropping it. Off the box i had some issues pairing it, easily fixed by reading the manual and realizing you need to have the SD camera in it. Once its up and running pairing it with the App makes this screen less camera even funner. I can have someone carry it around and use the app to control the shutter. I have not tested the waterproof abilities [submerged], but it has seen a bit of snow. And its still working. The lens is a bit fisheye styled so you loose a bit of true depth and can make some things look a bit wobbly. Slow motion feature is not the best quality, but i hardly ever use it. Bought a mount and a strap for this and even tried it on my cat :P honestly, you cant go wrong with this camera. For the features and the price... you win. Yea it looks like an inhaler or a PEZ dispenser but it also didnt break your bank like your GoPro did.

For the price point and for what I purchased this camera for, its perfect. May family used it for all water sports (Ocean, Pool, Parasailing, etc.) during spring break in Mexico (buy the optional immersion kit). Videos are smooth with no artifacts, stills are fine and the time lapse (did several sunrises) feature is awesome. The RE app for Android (Galaxy S6) can be frustrating, but it does work. All in all a great purchase and it shipped on time and complete.

Good camera, bought it for my daughter to use, not the best picture kind of a wide angle, but it is cool. Also can download a free app and connect the camera to your phone via bluetooth.

Looks like I got a defective one, the rubber sealing at the bottom is coming out a bit, so I wouldnt trust it to be submerged once I get the waterproofing kit again. This is the second one ive owned because I lost the last one, but it is a great product.
