> 3 dayI have to say that i am pretty sad aboutt my RE cam, I just loved it, i got great pictures and now it do not turn on. It has a blue light and it seems its broken. I give to the HTC Re camera just one star because it is dead and bought mine one in January, only seven months. I want a new one, but a good one. Save your money.

> 3 dayThis is the first video I shot with the RE. https://vimeo.com/128833517 Device is locked down but every time a vehicle passes the image shifts abruptly. Reached out to HTC to see if theres a firmware update but as things stand… I dont think Ive owned a worse video camera. Updated the cameras firmware yesterday and there was no change. Showed the above clip to three tech support people. They were very nice but eventually told me that I should not expect better quality footage from this camera. https://vimeo.com/128833517

> 3 dayNot overly easy to connect to phone. Not overly easy to download photos using app on phone. If you don’t use it too often you can easily forget how to switch from photo to video modes and back. YouTube videos explaining use are few and not helpful. Company website with no instructions for troubleshooting. If you buy this use it a lot right away before loosing the packaging, because once it’s gone, you are stuck with a plastic thing that only makes noises.

Greater than one weekPros: Easy to carry & use. Would not recommend for sporty days, better for casual tourist days. Cons: you have to stand still to get best picture quality, i wished it had a sport mode where it would get great quality (no blurriness) while moving.

Greater than one weekThis is my second HTC RE camera. Purchased it cheaply, around $40 in Used, Like New condition. Lots of power packed into its tiny body - 16 MP stills, Very sharp full 1080p HD video, one touch slow motion, great monophonic microphone, very discreet (nobody thinks its a camera, as it looks more like an asthma inhaler), waterproof, scratch resistant lens. Small enough to put it in any pocket, including shirts. Note: It requires a more powerful 2.1a charger, wont charge from a 1a. Both of my HTC RE cameras are working perfectly, even after having been dropped repeatedly. . Update 09/27/2017. Still like them a lot, take them everywhere I go. Taking one star off, as they clearly turned out to be non-waterproof.. Both my cameras failed when or after having been used in water - one in Atlantic ocean, another in a swimming pool. In both cases used them in no more than 2 feet (50-60cm) of water. Thankfully I managed to fix both of them by drying them out completely with an electric hair dryer (alternating low and high fan speed at high heat setting from a distance of about 4 inches (10 cm) for about 12-15 minutes. May need even more drying time. Both cameras are now working fine, like new. But no more swimming with them, for sure.

> 3 daythe camera gets hot after using it for a while, not sure if there is a problem with this unit or that is the case for all unit. Like the password protected feature but once the camera is connected to the phone, the phone can see all the photos stored in the camera even though it is disconnected.

> 3 dayI think the HTC RE is not good as I thought. Since it just a camera and phone can work as this. It is useless

> 3 dayTakes very clear wide angle 16mp pictures as well as video and slow-motion video. You just need to listen for the clicks and get used towhead needs to be pressed to obtain what picture recording you need. Great for underwater hangs from wrist easily so can be gotten to quickly, wish battery life was longer but thats it!

> 3 dayI have been using these for about 4 years. They are NOT Waterproof! Am I the only one that has had problems? Another major glitch for anyone buying one is the app. I cant sem to find it an longer in the store. Luckily I was able to transfer it to my new phone from old phone . The camera will still work but its so much more usefull with the phone app. The wide angle pix are great but no viewfinder seems to be a problem for people. This is a fun cheap secondary/ tertiary camera to spice up your IG feed.
