HP 15-dy1036nr 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1, 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop, Natural Silver

Performance has been better than I expected. I keep my screen at full brightness, so the battery does not last as long as advertised, but it still has outstanding battery life. Overall great laptop/no issues after about a week.

This laptop is better than I expected. I love that the keyboard resembles a desktop keyboard with the number pad on the side. It is easier to type on than my previous laptops. The screen is clear and the perfect size for everyday use. It opens programs fast and doesnt have the wait time that my old laptop had.

I ordered a HP 15-1036, what they sent me was a HP 15 -1059MS. Which I guess was an upgrade being that I had more ram and a touchscreen. More ram was great, and I guess the touchscreen was good too but being that I’m clumsy I would tend to touch the screen while using this keyboard which would mess things up, Which is no big deal being that’s not HP’s fault. I had had the computer only for five months when it went belly up and stop working. I had a bios update recently but the computer just stopped working. The Caplock LED kept flashing a code, three long flashes and too short. I called phone support, and honestly they were great but they were not able to resolve my problems. The phone support suspect that my issues might have been Bios related. So I was forced to send it in for warranty work. Now I have to wait 2 to 3 months for turnaround time, which is frustrating because I recently had a stroke and I depended on the computer for paying bills and ordering meds. I also depending on that machine for music and entertainment being that I was forced to retire. Anyways it’s frustrating to be without my computer. I must say however that the screen and the picture on the screen was superior to anything I’ve ever owned. I really enjoyed the computer but I’m not happy that it went belly up after only five months I don’t know if it was Microsoft for faulty bios, or equipment failure on HP end. I expected much more out of HP honestly and I’m very frustrated.

Needed a good budget laptop. Trusting in all these reviews and HP brand reputation went with this model.

I will never buy another HP product after the way they handled a defect. I bought the computer for my 6th grader for virtual school. We had problem after problem with it. It finally quit connecting to the internet altogether. The error message clearly stated it is hardware or driver issues. We are still under the one year warranty. After speaking to tech support for over 30 minutes they refuse to honor the warranty and kept saying it was a virus. Clearly not a virus and is a lemon. They want me to pay to have it repaired. Will not happen. I’ve now purchased an Apple MacBook and have had no issues. I highly recommend you don’t waste your money on an HP.

Not bad for ordering my first lab top computer online.

This computer was defective brand new out of the box. We sent it back for a refund. Amazon promises that the refund will happen within 7 days of sent item. Its been longer than 7 days since the shipper said that the package was successfully returned. Wheres our refund?

This laptop is very easy to set up and to use. I made the necessary updates easily as guided and put on my particular programs. It comes on very easily and fast and works very well. I had been using a computer with a smaller screen for a half dozen years so this seems like a big screen to me. It is great for video meetings with the built-in webcam and microphones. I use this one for work but am considering buying the same one for home use for my wife since it works so well and has such a great price for all that it has.
