Hi-Tech HTP-6 Digital Circuit Breaker Identifier

Did what I needed it to do.

Bought this for a new home to trace down the proper breakers for some outdoor lights. I also purchased the Klein Tools accessory kit, as I knew Id need the bare wire clips for the former light (the screw-in plug didnt work due to tight fit). You do have to RTFM and follow the instructions for the calibration step, but once done, it was dead on (and I wasnt), with no false positives - I double-checked.

Liked the accuracy of the unit locating circuit breakers in my home. Requires a few seconds of pre-testing to train the unit as to where the electricity (transmission) is located. Works great! Would buy from them again if I needed another unit.

This was something my husband expressed interest in as he is savvy with most all electrical issues. So, I bought this for him for a Christmas present. He loves it. He has already used it on several areas in need of attention. The directions for use was very easy to understand. Thank you Amazon ~ youve come through for us once again!

the on/off switch is right where you hold it and when using you can turn it off while holding it. Sent it back.

This works great once you remember to scan the panel one time then it shows correct breaker fine. Get a hard case and accessory kit to allow checking bare wire or light socket. As other reviewers have noted the power button is not protected and will constantly turn on unit when it is stuck in a tool bag. Runs battery dead after a year. So get the hard case or buy a 3D printer and make a button cover. Probably someone had it listed on thingaverse already.

Worked great for finding the breakers connected to various outlets on your own. Just follow the instructions. As others note, the power button its easy to accidentally push and drain the battery. I just pull the battery and store it in the original l packaging.

It didnt work for me, but Ill give it two stars, as my breaker panel is old and may not be standard. I followed the directions, yet the device lit up on some of the wrong breakers and wouldnt light up on the right ones.
