Bought a new Grohe kitchen faucet and the flow was so limited the sprayer would not work and it took waaaaay too long to even fill a pot with water. You couldnt even rinse the sink out the pressure was so weak. Did some research on the flow restrictor for our model and bought this coupling to replace the red coupling that restricts flow to 1.75 gpm (I think - might be 1.5?) Problem solved! The pressure is actually so strong you have to get used not turning it on all the way. You have to go under the sink to replace it because it is on the end of the hose where it connects to the body of the faucet, not up at the handle end. Once you get under there and find it, it takes about 30 seconds to replace it. It is kind of irritating that it costs what it costs since it is just a piece of plastic tubing with one threaded end and one push/pull snap connector on the other. But it saved me from years of frustration with a ridiculously low water flow.

First and foremost, this gets the job done and worked as a replacement for my original that developed a crack and leaked everywhere. I will 100% agree with the other reviewer who posted a photo comparing this version to the original and that the new one is much smaller, made with thinner plastic, and overall less robust than the original. Will have to see if this stands the test of time, but does seem to work without issue so far. The price is ludicrous for a couple of pieces of plastic, but I was unable to find anything else that would fit properly.

Not constructed as well as the original part installed in 2004,but it worked and I no longer have a flood of water under my kitchen sink. I believe this part is too expensive, but it is a Grohe part, what can I say..

Replaced my RED connector (that wasnt leaking) with this because of low flow that I tried to solve many other ways (new spray head, cleaning the red connector several times, backing out the flow screw in the handle) but this solved it in minutes. You have to screw it onto the hose end and then hold down the yellow snap section and get it ALL the way over the pipe from the faucet under the sink. It must snap back over the pipe securely or it will pop off when you turn the water back on and then try the faucet. If it pops off you did not get it all the way on and snapped tight.

It fits. I hope the new plastic screw in part lasts. The old one disintegrated and the tubing fell off.

There were no problems, replaced original before it failed after 8 years of use. Part fit right in, plumber just charged me for the time involved- no parts cost
