Grohe 46138000 1/2 in. Quick Coupling, one-size

> 3 dayI you are suffering from low flow in your Grohe faucet, this item is the fix! Though my newly-installed Grohe Zedra triple-spray pulldown faucet was put in by a licensed plumber - and we cleaned debris out of both the quick connect and the spray head - I was only getting about 1 gallon per minute or less....not even enough pressure to activate the shower spray option. I put this new quick coupling in last night in 30 seconds, and the spray/water volume improved INSTANTLY. We are now very happy with the faucet. Before this fix, we were so disappointed in the faucet performance as it came from the factory that we considered removing the faucet and throwing it away! So. Happy. Now.

> 3 dayReal simple tool-free install. Only challenge is getting access to coupling location on faucet after the faucet is installed. The coupling is located behind sink directly below counter top. The quick coupling part (1.75 liter/min) that comes installed on faucet directly from factory is so restrictive of water flow that we couldnt even get the spray to stay on. Apparently Grohe ships faucets to the U.S. that meet some sort of flow restriction standard. I read one place that the standard is called California Green, which I can only assumes comes from the droughts CA has been experiencing in recent times. In any event the Groho 46 138 000 Quick Coupling part has no flow restriction. So now our faucet works perfectly. Only drawback is the part is priced ridiculously high. $40+ dollars for a small plastic part is absurd. The term that comes to mind is price gouging. Having said that, it works perfectly and completely solved our low water pressure problem.

> 3 dayThis is a direct replacement for the GROHE hose at the base of the hose where it attaches to the faucet. It fits and is really easy to replace ( it takes about 2 minutes to do it) but it seems that I have to replace it every year. I attached 2 photos. The part on the right is the original GROHE part . The one on the left is the replacement I bought last year. Now I had to buy another one because theO ring failed and leaked water all over the inside of my cabinet. You can easily see that the replacement part is much lighter duty than the original. But it does the job just as well as the original. The reason for the 3 star rating is because I need to replace this part every year. I guess its just a bad design or something. I paid nearly 50 something bucks for this thing. Its way over priced but I couldnt find it any cheaper anywhere else. So, yes it works but it only lasts about a year or so. Keep in mind, this is for the sink I have on my 42 foot Carver yacht. So it isnt like the sink is getting used for the entire year. I pull the boat out for the winter every October then it gets put back in the following April. So its only getting used for about 6 months. Yes, i would buy it again but only because Id have to replace the entire faucet with a more expensive type and brand to fix this issue for longer than a year. The manufacturers part is harder to find so this replacement will have to do. There are 3 types of these and they differ by pressure rating I believe. They are different colors. This yellow one is for the highest pressure. So, if your in a position like I am, then yes, go ahead and buy it but I think next year I am just going to replace the whole faucet with another brand because this is getting annoying replacing this thing every year. And, its eventually going to destroy my cabinet from water damage when it fails again.

> 3 dayIt was easy to install. The old one was the green one. I read that the yellow one was a bit better, so I purchased it. It went on well. super easy.

> 3 dayIf your leaking under the kitchen sink, it’s probably this weak leak. Easy to install. Not sure why they make this important part in plastic.

> 3 dayThere were no problems, replaced original before it failed after 8 years of use. Part fit right in, plumber just charged me for the time involved- no parts cost

Greater than one weekWe had a small leak as the existing coupler developed a crack. It was good to know that one size fits all Grohe Faucets. Very easy to remove old one and install new.

> 3 dayFirst and foremost, this gets the job done and worked as a replacement for my original that developed a crack and leaked everywhere. I will 100% agree with the other reviewer who posted a photo comparing this version to the original and that the new one is much smaller, made with thinner plastic, and overall less robust than the original. Will have to see if this stands the test of time, but does seem to work without issue so far. The price is ludicrous for a couple of pieces of plastic, but I was unable to find anything else that would fit properly.
